After number "N999" Tudor might change the letter "N" to "P".

Neither AD in my area has one. They are only saying they are special order, and cannot get unless someone buys it first.

There is only 2 ADs near me and I have a good relationship with both. The first one put me #1 on the list and I called the second just for grins. They told me the same thing.

We will find out soon enough what happens after 999.
I'm of the opinion they will either remove the numbering and continue to make the watch without the red Pelagos writing or stop production altogether. Anyone have other ideas? |

I just don't see why Tudor would put this piece into mass production. I think it was dropped just before Basel for the collectors to nab up some watch spending funds before all the other brands. But as we all know Tudor is gonna do what they want. So who knows?

I think it's obvious what Tudor are doing here. No chance this will go into regular production. Time will tell

Tudor pelagos LHD- whats your number???
Quote:
I had a long conversation about this with my long time AD yesterday. 2 things I was told. 1. The numbers are being sent out randomly, not in order. He got a low 2 digit number first and then got a higher 3 digit number a couple weeks later. 2. Anyone that says they know what Tudor will do after No. 999 is speculating. They have not told even their own field force and employees. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

In reference to point number 2, I've found that ADs aren't necessarily in the know... why? Various reasons. I was once told that Tudor just isn't a priority. I use 3 ADs for my Tudor purchases. I knew about the LHD before 2 of the 3 ADs and learned about it from the 3rd. |

When it comes to most AD's and especially the salespeople, no doubt. My one AD has a watch manager is a CW21 that came out of Rolex school and worked for them for a while. I tend to believe him a little more than the other2 that I go to that just seem more "salesy" if that's a thing. The one I mention knew but wouldn't tell. The others said they had no clue. Guess it is just like the good AD service/bad AD service posts. But or Miss. I have my AD holding one of these. I am just really torn on it right now. It is that or pick up another vintage Tudor sub. My local dealer sold the one with "20" on the back. Lowest I've seen.

I have a Tudor Advisor (white dial) that very rarely wear. Trying to figure out if it is worth flipping it for the LHD. I already have a 2 line Pelagos and Black Bay x3. My AD has a very low number I can have. Not 20, but low.

Hi All, can I please ask for your thoughts on this. A LHD Pelagos is going to be a retirement present to myself, a great excuse, I know. However, in my dotage in future years as the kids need a deposit for a house or a can of coke hits the £10 or $10 mark or the wheels fall of my google car, I may need to sell my watches accumulated over the past 40 years to eat. To that end I have searched around a few UK AD's to find a number that maybe more worthwhile than others, the lowest number I can find is No41, however, I have also found No777. Which way do I go people? All thoughts, quips and general ideas will be much appreciated.

If, as earlier posted, they will just go to a smaller font and keep numbering, I would probably grab the lowest number I could find. Unless 777 holds significance to you.
Funny you are in the U.K. And saw 41 as I know where #40 is and it is at an AD in the Midwest US. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

As someone said earlier it really is all random. I have a colleague whose daughter works at the Signet jewellery groups headquarters in the UK and she quizzed their chief buyer and there is no indication of the number on their system, you really do seem to have to open the box to find out. Clever marketing and they said in their launch press conferences its quirky and a bit of fun.

If it was truly random, and the range will go beyond 999, the we would have already seen some 4 digits mixed in already...
