Very nice photos here. I choose the bluesy two tone! Simply beautiful in sunlight.

I own a Yachtmaster so here's my take on it. The Yachtmaster was made to be worn on a tropical vacation or by the pool as you say. The Yachtmaster your describing seems to have a great "nautical" look to it so imo you have a winner

Mathematical proof:

Beach/pool = sun+water = sunburst+submariner = bluesy in your list.

I'm partial to the GMT Pepsi. Classic design, iconic look, and just a hint of whimsy with the colors.
I'm a counrtyboy at heart so my idea of a pool is a lake. My second choice for a watch to wear around the cement pond would be a Submariner in classic black/stainless steel.

Not necessarily an all rounder, so don't be bound by the watches versatility in terms of evening wear. Assume you are bringing one watch for day time and another for the evening.

A watch for by the pool, on the beach, wearing with shorts and a shirt/t-shirt, having lunch etc.

What would you pick out of the following...

1. 116655 Yacht Master with Oysterflex
2. 116613LB Bluesy Two-Tone
3. 214270 Exp 1
4. 116622 Yacht Master Plat/SS
5. Other

For the pool: 116655 Yacht Master with Oysterflex
Evening : 214270 Exp 1

The rest wear it on your free hand like them generals

116622 would be my pick, but any of the four suggested would be great.

Realistically though, for sunshine vacation trips I think most people are better off with a cheap Ironman or G Shock. An expensive watch marks you as an obvious tourist; who wants to be a target for thieves?

From your list, I'd take the YM on Oysterflex.

Even though I don't own one, I would say the ideal Rolex by the pool watch would be the ceramic bluesy.

I love the black dial. The bluesy one is beautiful but don't think it would get much action as it looks like a special occasion watch.
