1) Don't buy a Rolex SS sport model for investment purposes
2) Rolex SS sport models always increase in price
3) Go figure

This right here.

Emphasis on number 1. Not all ADs, but most I've encountered.

1. TRF is not my first forum, but the crowd here is the most civilized.
2. I am not the only man who loves GV Milgauss. There are one or two more.
3. Buying used Rolex in good condition does not save you much money.

34mm IS a men’s watch.
TT is not just for old men.
It doesn’t matter which Rolex you own, if you own one at all. Love of Rolex is all you need to be welcomed here!

(Says the owner of a 34mm TT watch)

1. Learned about the Trusted Sellers. I bought my SD43 through one.
2. The Rolex community is full of awesome people, not all douches like I previously had the perception of.
3. In depth education about what these watches can do and how much we can push them.

1) A relationship with your AD is critical
2) Bergeon AT-160 1.6 mm screwdriver and 222 low strength Loctite is all you need to remove your own diver extension (for a perfect fit) on the SD43
3) Not a better more helpful group of people to be found on the Internet than here at TRF ⭐️

1. Brushing my teeth with a sonicare while wearing my watch will not damage the movement.

2. Collecting watches is no different than collecting other items. There are levels...

3. Porsche owners do not consider the color red a classic color for sports cars.

1. Batman vs. Hulk is apparently not a movie
2. Some people tip AD's
3. Price increase hyperbole threads are generally started with members with a post count of 1

In all seriousness this is a cracking community that has many great knowledgeable members who are typically very generous of spirit, mindful of others and (for the most part) civil and well mannered. Mods are tolerant and intelligent and not overbearing and make this a pleasant and informative place to be - thank you!

What I've learned in the Rolex General Discussion section of TRF...

1) Not many Rolex "enthusiasts" care about movements, but will have strong opinions as to whether PCLs "belong" on certain models, that any watch is simply unwearable without a Glidelock due to hyper-swelly/shrinking wrists during the course of an average day, and harbor notions that some models are so much more "iconic" than others it must be declared.

2) There's a desire for many to connect their Rolex to other things they've purchased or wear. "Rolex and your car". "Rolex and your wallet". "Rolex and your shoes/pen/socks/steering wheel/sneakers/etc".

3) Stickers freak some people out.

That's not to say that in other sections of TRF much can be learned about Rolex watches, rather than merely about who's wearing them. In the Vintage, Reference, Tech sections for example, there's too many things to list.

1. No matter the price, quality, or rareness of a watch...we love what we love. People here generally respect everything from Patek to Casio.

2. That being said...there is a huge difference of opinion on the new Pepsi GMT.

3. I am not alone.

I’ve learned so much here! Have always wanted a Rolex and am getting married in October. I decided to finally buy one in honor of this. Will probably be my only one for a long time. I’m a classical musician and while I’m reasonably successful in my field it’s not a lucrative business. Anyway I read a couple of threads on budgeting and decided to try to budget for a watch. I thought I’d have no chance to afford one before October but apparently I waste a lot of my money on eating out and coffee and I’ve almost saved enough already!! So without trf I wouldn’t have ever been able to get a Rolex let alone tried even though it is meaningful to me and something I know I will love the rest of my life.

Now I have to decide sub or dj 41. Really want the Daytona but you all know how that goes. And even with the miracles of budgeting my salary would never make me feel ok spending the Grey price and my AD said zero chance without an inside connection:(

Long post short thanks everyone. You helped me figure out how to achieve this dream!
