Hi all

New to the Forum. I am considering the CHNR or the two tone steel/rose gold yacht, 116621 with the black dial. Although the Yacht s stunning in when seen in person, I am leaning towards a CHNR but already have a BLNR. Have to make a trade for the CHNR and has to be either my BLNR or my Patek 5107. Would be great to keep a Patek but does not see much wrist time anymore as many of those old classic strap watches are out. Would be great to get your thoughts.

I'd start a new thread as opposed to tacking on to the end of this one. You'll get many more responses.

I have a Rootbeer and an AD had a black dial 116621. Compared side-by-side the Rootbeer wins by a landslide. The matte dial on the 116621 doesn’t pop as well IMO. If I never put the two side-by-side I’d love the 116621. I guess I ruined it for myself.

Got mine new yesterday after a 5 day wait ....
How lucky am I
The watch is amazing..a work of art.
A picture does not show this watch in its true light.
Infact the light changes it there is no other watch like it in the Rolex collection.

Tonight I am going to lie down on the sofa and just watch my watch It's memorising..

Do do not need to see this watch in the flesh to buy it
Buy it blind ..it's worth it

Mine says you need one

It’s the nicest TT ever and literally the only one I’d ever consider buying.

I have both the CHNR and TT RG YM but with the chocolate dial and they’re both very nice watches but different in they’re own rights...admittedly the CHNR gets more wrist time but keeping the YM as the wife likes this and she could pull it off due to the slimmer case.

I’m personally not a fan of the black dial version on the YM so between the 2 it would defo be a CHNR

Yeah, there are times when I feel I'm wearing a stainless steel watch because in certain bright lighting the rose gold becomes a hot white.

In low light, the rose gold becomes a deep maize or bronze yellow.

In regular light and with no yellow gold TT to compare it to side-by-side, my brain at times even thinks it's regular gold versus "rose." Again, the watch is many things in different kinds of lighting.

Probably why I can't stop looking at it either.

Just curious, does anyone know why Rolex asked $650 more for the TT CHNR than a TT sub? Was it a premium for the new movement or does rose gold cost more since they splash in a little platinum? Always wondered about this.

Standard SS GMT has a premium over standard SS Sub...TT watches no different.

You are paying extra for the extra complication i.e GMT function

Major update!!!

Thanks entirely to Alan (TRF member alpine24) I am now the ecstatic owner of a brand new 126711CHNR. No grey market, no games; just a true stand-up guy helping a fellow WIS achieve his dreams.

Folks seriously, this is the nicest watch I've ever laid eyes on, exceeding even my highest expectations.

Alan, I can't thank you enough sir. You are the very definition of what makes this community great, and why (despite all of the enabling) I'm happy I joined.

Incoming post with more pics to come, but in the meantime I snapped this one on the way back from the AD:
