Looks gorgeous and my guess is a lot of the haters will change their mind when they see it in the flesh.

40 years from now, I bet the TT SD43 is the watch all the collectors are going after. Still wouldn’t buy one though.

Hell no. Not because the TT is an unattractive watch, I think it's beautiful actually. Just because gold has no business being on anything in the Sea Dweller lineup

Do yo guys think they are getting ready to discontinued the SD43 next year? Maybe this is the reason they introduced the TT model?

The 1%-ers hang out here. Whereas to the general public, a TT watch with a crown on the dial is the quintessential Rolex. Have they ever heard the term "tool watch"? Do they know what an HEV is? Or do they just want a nice, expensive watch with "ROLEX" emblazoned on the dial? It'll sell just fine. I won't be surprised in the least if there's a more than modest lead time to get hold of one in the first year. I suspect not but it's all just guesswork isn't it? They disco'd 116600 after 3 years so anything is possible. Then again it appears 126600 is more popular than its predecessor.

Not likely at all. The release of the TT model just solidifies the continuation of the current SD43 iteration in my opinion. After all, it already has the 70hr movement. It’s here to stay for some time is my guess. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I like it. I don't think I'd sell my stainless SD43 for it. Would I add it down the road? Maybe. Especially if I could pick one up at a good discount. Time will tell about that possibility.

My first Rolex was a 16613 Submariner, so the look of the TT SD43 actually appeals to me.

I acquired the SD43 and love every minute of it then I picked up a TTSD43 just because it broke the mold on the SD line once again I admired it for its presence but didn’t really wear it till recently. Honestly it has grown on me. At first I thought impulse buy going to flip, but now I have learned to love it. It’s my Friday and Sunday watch. I believe it will be a very short production run. I like keeping both SDs together.. it’s two distinct personalities on a tool watch deign. Ultimately it’s about what each of us like. TTSD43 or “Blondie” as my daughters call her is not a bad once you get to know her. She keeps me happy every time I look at her. I get a lot of double takes on my wrist from strangers and occasional questions. Blondie ain’t cheap but she is satisfying once you get to wear her.

I’m a monochrome guys when it comes to the SD43. Reason why is because of the red line which is the main feature of this reference.

I think the lure around the SD43 weighs heavily on the red font. The TT lacks the red font, which is a shame.

I like it but there's no way I'm paying an extra 4k for some gold.

I won’t ever sell my SD43. I like how it fits next to my DSSD. Anyway, I can’t ever say never on adding the TT SD, but today the answer is no.
