Im more disappointed in Rolex then anything else, I been collecting rolexes for over 15 years and felt they were the best in everything they do, I'm very disappointed.

As i don't want a polished watch-and at the inner site of the lugs you always gonna see that its polished i would freak out or ask them to sell me immediatly another (SS) Model of my choice!

The only, and I mean only, reason that I would send it to RSC is that I'd prefer a scenario where those who made the mistake either fix it, or do so much damage trying that there's no choice but to replace the case (when in fact, that same entity is in the best position to offer such a replacement).

Do you mean to use this as an opportunity to obtain a sought after model without waiting or paying a premium, or are you proposing a swap? Because I don't think there's any current stainless model for which it would make sense to trade the OP's watch (WG version).

What’s the best process for doing this, currently I use a product called Wristclean and a soft bristle brush and do it once a week but if there is a better process I’m all for trying something new.

They certainly are not in after care, AP is far better, PP probably worse, esp the wait.

After 15 years of collecting, this is what I would have expected from the RSC. They mess up a nontrivial amount of the time and their solution is unusually not amazing.

Yeah I also had a recent issue with RSC (in my case, it was Lititz). They "serviced" my watch terribly and I had to send it back to have then re-service it. At this point, I SERIOUSLY doubt that RSC has any sort of QC process. There is absolutely no excuse for this damage or my poor service from getting through their QC process, if they even have one. Human error is one thing, but human error by multiple people in serial? Come on.

And this isn't about "negative news". This is the point out to other members what is happening at RSC. Sorry, not sorry that it's not all rainbows and unicorns.

I am sorry to hear that, the feeling is terrible. These watches are special to us and they represent milestone of our life's. Then you hand this over to someone you felt you could trust and they treat it with out a once of respect. We deserve better.

I once sent in a PP to have it overhauled after it stopped. It was an Aquanaut, and I paid over $1k for the pleasure of a multi-month wait and a tropical strap with multiple cracks all along it upon return. Jeweler whom I'd gone through to send basically shrugged and said "happens eventually" regarding the strap.

For the next overhaul, I went to a small AD a mile or two away (this was LA, where there are several within a few miles) to have it repaired. A few hundred cheaper and strap returned intact. Loved that shop (Morgan & Co.) but unfortunately a PP AD no more (hopefully still have parts account for those needing local service).

Yes they are and the worst part is that we're paying a pretty penny to have these worked on. They should be returned with no added "features" like a dented cases.

Quality control, not bean counter

ROLEX has to have someone inspecting each watch that goes out. This is uphauling.

I would go to ROLIWORKS or Rik at Time CAre before I send to ROLEX...

This disappoints me that they could let this leave their facility, Dallas or otherwise.

What did they do wrong? Strange to completely service a watch twice?

Must have had an intern or bring your kid to work day. I’ve changed straps dozens of times and never done anything like that to my watch.

What gives you that idea? The service consultant told me that they would re-service the watch and they had the watch for a month on the second trip. It came back with proper amplitude and it was regulated near Rolex -2/+2 timing spec (remember this is a non-COSC 14060). You can extrapolate what you will out of that info.

In the OP's situation, I wouldn't do that because that gives RSC an out. They can say that the OP did it while removing the bracelet. I'd take it in complete intact.

send it back, have them own their mistake ... if it is not done to your liking, Rolliwork will be your next steps but I would make the RSC either pay or fixed the issue.

These are special Rolex service centers. Sounds like Rolex is not taking after sales work seriously.

Only a few in the US and I keep hearing bad reports about them.

I suggest if Rolex RSC has said they will fix your watch with a welding procedure I would let them do it. Don't expect them to "admit" a mistake. If you aren't satisfied, you can send it off for another fix. I would however press them to do this as a priority.

BTW over the years I've used the RSC's in Dallas and New York with extremely good results. Both for technical and associated polishing.

Sloppy work from Dallas RSC.

So anyone in the USA should just refuse that Dallas service their watches.Simple.

Single complaints..so what .Group action ...all hell breaks loose.

Things happen. I don't know if boycotting a whole RSC is the solution... That being said, I would definitely take it back to them to fix.

Update on my watch, what do you guys think? I sent it to RSC Dallas and they laser welded. My mindset was that I will give them a chance to fix it if the out come was not desirable I will take it to rollieworks. Before and after pics below.
