Yeah I remember those days and back then, I never bought new (and should have done a lot more buying rather than being a "purist")...now a days, I hope to be able to pay "just" retail...lol.

I think they will update the movement like they did with the seadweller and give it a new number but i agree that is a big seller and will be continued in some form. I don't think a sub will ever come on a jubilee if they want to continue to bill it as a dive watch.

Anyone noticed that there are more hulk incomings these past weeks? Does rolex push out more pieces right before a discontinuation. I feel that it has been the case.

Exactly. We will probably get a new hulk. That’s it.

That was the speculation about the GMT LN as well.

Both are valid point. Believe me, I rather it sticks around since I'm still waiting for one at the ad. I'm sure the recent surge on hulk is fueled by more of these hulk discontinuation nonsense.

Consistent with the move toward PM, the WG Hulk with a green lacquer dial is released as the 126610LV at Basel 2020. Rolex yields the sunburst green market to the Oris Aquis.

Its nonsense and, another doomsday thread, designed to increment speculation. The Hulk features in the latest post Basel 2019/20 Rolex catalogue, so at least until basel 2020, Rolex doesn’t have plans to discontinue. Furthermore, I just received one from my AD. Ordered 6 weeks prior.

I think the rumors are true. Take a look at the 2010 Basel Launch Models. 10 years, anniversary models? Sounds about right.

The guys who have been predicting the discontinuation of this model for the past 5 or 6 years will one day have their wish fulfilled so they can say "HA! TOLD YOU SO!!!"

It’s a beautiful reference. If it were to go away, or get an update, my bet would be 2020.

I expect the Sub LV to be discontinued when an updated Sub is released. I’m sure there will be something else in the lineup that is equally desirable. Personally I would love the green dial with a black bezel.

The Hulk gets discontinued within 4 months. Of all my Rolex watches, it's just the 116610LV that is still in production.

My prediction is that the Hulk is replaced with a SS Smurf.

I mean it's just a guess, but they often release models on PM first and then follow on with a SS variant. They've been doing green watches for awhile. I bet they take a year or two off green and redesign the submariner with the updated movement.

It would be a massive hit for sure if it did happen

Discontinue bluesy only sunburst on pm.
Sub should follow sea dweller alignment
