It really comes down to 2 things.

1. Do you need/like the date cyclops feature ?
2. Does the clean dial sans date/cyclops making it
more symmetrical appeal to you ?

I like both for their own different looks but if only one
it’s got to be THE DATE SUB for me personally!!!
Only you can decide how you want to spend your $$$ !

I just googled ... we are both incorrect. The 1680 with date window was introduced in 1966.

You don’t realize you love the date, until you need to know the date. I know we all have phones, but when sitting in a professional setting it’s nice not to have to pull out the phone. No date is beautiful though.
