Weight x size = comfort.

No watch is going to fit everyone, and you just seem unlucky in this case. The watch and your wrist aren’t a match. Sell it, buy something that is comfortable.
To be fair, it does feel a quite heavy watch; occasionally I find it a tad obtrusive. But most of the time it’s fine. In your case, you are now unlikely to ever settle with the 43.

Not at all , I have flat wrist and all watches sit fine on me . Today I’m wearing my D Blue ....

I loved the larger size dial however it just felt too big. Maybe it wasn’t fitted properly?

Same dial size at about 27.3 mm, they just added the ring lock. The YM42 is a true larger dial in comparison.

Problem solved!! 126662. Miss the size of the 43 and it will kill me seeing it in pics but I made a video reminding myself of how much my wrist was hurting! (It’s feeling less sore already).

Congrats! Same boat here. The SD43 is a beauty and I loved looking at it... but I traded toward my 116500 which is a better all rounder. I do miss it and would love to see a new sub at 40mm with those proportions.

Thanks!! And congrats to you too.

I’m prob gonna get flamed for this but I also picked up a Ginault Ocean Rover 2 with the ceramic SD looking bezel. 40 mm sub proportions with ceramic, a glide lock and a touch of red. Very high quality feel (though I can still tell the diff).

This. Intuition says wear it loose to ease the pain. But intuition is often wrong. Loose allows it to dig in on one lug or the other. Snug keep it flat on the wrist.

Agreed, I wear my divers snug (pinky gap) above the wrist bone which prevents lugs diging on one side, case back rubbing against the ulna and crown digging again the back of the hand. Wearing them lose will cause me discomfort and could even be painful, especially when the lugs press against radius and ulna.

Yup snug was more comfortAble than loose but still hurt

I’ve moved on

No time for watches that hurt

Prioritized comfort with the yachtmaster swap (see above)

Yup I do the same. No issue on my 6 digit subs. But the 43 still caused pain.

Yep, forget about the 43, life's too short. Enjoy the YM, great piece, I've had mine for 5 years now, very comfortable as long as not worn lose.
