No, a few people years ago had some issues when the movement was first released. Very small minority compared to the hundreds of thousands of 32xx movements out in the wild now.

I am really enjoying the new PM blusey. Much preferred to the older one, but personal preference!

You already have a hulk...I mean it really doesnt get better. Its all up to preference...I have the 41mm no date but honestly kind of miss my old 114060 with the maxi and thin bracelet.

I totally the point of upgrading from the 5 digit to the 6 digit sub, but from the 116610 to the 126610, I wouldn’t personally!!

It's up to you.

It's not an iphone where they will change the operating system next year.

Simple and logical solution: Keep everything you have and also add the new sub.

For me, old lugs looked terrible and I sold. Movement issues aside, I much prefer the new series despite the 41mm moniker.

I would not trade or sell any of mine.

Not worth it in my opinion.

I’ve owned two six digit Subs in the past (116613LB/116618LB) and just picked up the new 126613LB. I got on the waitlist the day after Rolex announced the change and received the call on Friday. I’m very impressed!

I’ve been waiting/hoping for a more streamlined aesthetic and movement update for years. The 5-digit model is what got me hooked initially, and overall I liked the more streamlined aesthetic. However, I preferred the 6-digit model for all the modern refinements and technology.

Initially, I wasn’t sure how I felt about the move up to 41mm and white lettering on the dial. However, with the changes to the case and wider bracelet, the Sub actually wears better on my wrist than the previous version. As for the changes to the dial, the blue pops and the lettering is clean.

I’m very glad I opted for the new Sub - it was the watch I’ve been waiting for!

Let me say, that I tried on both, the 11 and the 12. People say there is not much difference and maybe they are right, but I do NOT like the way the 11 wears. The 126610 seems thinner(?) Better proportioned(?). I am not sure how to describe it but there definitely is a difference and I prefer the newer model.

I'm happy with my 11 references, so I feel no stress to "upgrade" to the newer ones. Looking forward to try them on.

The new clasp looks really big tho!

Having you 3 Sub 6 digits first gen (Hulk, Bluesy & No Date), I would say that it is worth to trade the 114060 for the 124060; if you have a purchase history with your AD within a reasonable period of time you can get the new one at price list and sell your 114060 with a premium price. If I would be in your shoes, I would also trade the 116613 for the 16613; like that you would have 3 of the best Subs of the last 30 years.

Lol it always comes to this suggestion doesn't it? Actually I am thinking this BUT I've also got my eye on the z-blue milgauss. Heart says get the new sub. Head says you moron you already have several ceramic subs and you're gonna not get the z-blue to add slightly thinner lugs?

I feel the same Paul and I own both.

I’m not saying the 11 wasn’t comfortable, but I do notice the 12 seems to wear flatter on my wrist with less “roll”. I suppose everyone will have a different wearing experience

Last week I upgraded my 2019 ss/18k blue submariner to the 2020. It cost me 2K to make the trade. At first sight, I questioned my decision (partly because I read too much negativity here). Now, I feel like Id do it again in a heartbeat. I absolutely love the changes and the more time I spend with it, the more I see the genius in the updates they've made...so much so that pics of my 2019 look outdated to me. Of course i am still super excited to have a new watch and the experience that goes along with it. Maybe Ill change my mind about the value of upgrading once the newness wears off but for now, Im giddy over it.

I have to say in deliberating what to do I find myself thinking the 'fat lug' look is visually more prominent on the no date than it is on the hulk or the bluesy. Not sure why that is, perhaps the bluesy gold/blue breaks up the steel, or the colors/date windows?

It's the cyclops. The lugs stand out more on the no date as there isn't any distraction so they're laid bare.

The new one is basically the same no date but with SD43 lugs, a slightly thicker bracelet and blacker/shinier dial due to the AR change.

Minor changes but as an owner of both the 114060 and the 124060 I much prefer the 124060. They make a fantastic watch 2% better but 2% to the sort of people who sign up to watch forums can be sizable.

This - did the same thing and couldn’t agree more. But I raise your 2 to 3%!

I have a 40mm sub. I would upgrade to the 41mm sub when I have the opportunity to upgrade.

What kind of movement issues does the new sub have?

I’m more torn after reading this thread than I was before.

I have an 11 series SubC ‘19 and an option from an AD for the new Sub model. The point about the new 3235 movement being possibly not as reliable as the trusted 3135 tips my scale against buying the new model. That is, unless you flip it right away but that is not my intent or purpose when buying the piece as opposed to passing it on as a legacy or wearing it.

By the closest of margins, my decision is to keep the 114060 (which I love for how it feels, looks and keeps time) and skip the option on the the new Sub. On that note, I want the black dial SS Daytona!

The 12 series is well worth the upgrade. On the no date it's a no-brainer.
