Can't go wrong here. Personally I would pick the white gold. Simply because it is a bit less flashy and the combination of the metal and the green looks amazing. But I would be happy with either.

Rose Gold is so unique and can go with younger people as well as older ones.
My best friends uses it as a daily, “rose gold/ green dial” he’s in the 30s and it looks stunning no matter what he’s wearing. It’s a modern color, love it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My vote is WG Olive. It is low key - away from the piercing eyes of muggers, of office mates, of friends, of bosses, and of customers, alike. It is timeless which can definitely be worn on all occasions.
It is what it is. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Great advice so far. Need to make a decision on Thursday so will continue to think on it! Will try both on and go from there.. on another note, I hadn’t realised the olive dial was an “anniversary” dial- any idea on how long these things normally run for or will this be in the catalogue for good now? Anniversary seems to imply limited run, again I don’t care as the watch is for wearing and enjoying, but do Rolex keep these in the line up for finite periods?

Morning all- any thoughts on the longevity of the dial being produced?

For example the green dial GMT was produced from 2007-2019. The YG green dial Daytona was introduced in 2016, but there is strong rumors it will be discontinued next week. Given the surge in popularity for the green dials, I wouldn’t pass up the opportunity to pick up an olive DD40 at retail from an AD. Never know if you’ll get the chance again in today’s market. |
