Congrats Brian!!!!!! Happy for you brother.

I’ll admit I’ve often wondered about if I could ever get back my very first new Rolex I ever bought in 2012. Would love to get it back. Sold it many many years ago. Had My Name on the card etc

I gave up knowing it would be near impossible and bought a second one. It’s never going anywhere. Barring financial issues. I look it and call it my first ever new Rolex. Granted it’s not the “exact one”. Model yes. Watch no

Congrats again

Omg yes. Insane how our opinions and tastes change. Sometimes ending up right back where we started. If I could get back my original 216570 even if all beat to hell I’d trade my current one that is pretty much mint and only 2 years old versus 10 plus

That’s what Rsc is for. Granted it would have to be a full set. Just like I sold it. Not just any 2012 216570 will do

Too funny, and I hear you. This one has some battle scars that definitely weren’t there when I sold it. Somehow the previous owner also lost the outer sleeve, ripped the plastic lining and it’s missing a bracelet link but I really didn’t care … I got my watch back

Similar story. Sold my 2015 SS/Plat YM ref 116622 in 2020 to fund the TT Bluesy. Seller's remorse kicked in and I bought the YM back from the dealer 10 days later, my actual watch. Dealer asked "what happened?"...

I went back and forth during my previous ownership of this reference. Yes it’s a heavier reference and for me, there are some fit issues … but damn it’s one fine looking watch

Thanks Nicholas

When I sold it, I asked only one condition, that if he were ever to decide to sell it, I’d get first opportunity. He was true to his word

Yes it's true, I did say that but I also sang its praises which are many and in my mind they outweigh the fit issue.

Anyway, when the chance came to buy back my original, I pounced. I'm sentimental and besides I already convinced myself that I needed another rotation watch

Its not like I'm the only one on TRF to go back to same well right?

So here she is ... my May 4, 2017 S43, back on my wrist. I missed you!

Now someone shoot me if I ever complain about the caseback comfort

Congrats! Wear it one day a week, I'm sure you can manage that :P

I'm one that did the same thing you did, dumped the SD43 for the sub. Much more comfortable. Interesting to see that you went back for more!

Well it was a trip down memory lane that got to me. My AD special ordered the SD43 on release and it arrived in record time and in time for my 50th. I couldn’t pass it up and I always loved the reference as it’s where I got my start with a SD back in the 90’s. I hope to find a comfort setting and yes, wear it sparingly

I still have the Submariner, that’s definitely not going anywhere.

I don't blame you, it really is a stunning watch and one of the best looking Rolex divers ever made.
