The funny thing about this thread is that I never saw the pictures in Tapatalk. Not sure why. I'm just seeing them now. I don't have any problems with other pictures in Tapatalk.

Congratulations on the new watch but it will never outshine the original hulk.

One could argue the green bezel pops more because of this contrast.
I understand the allure of the discontinued model especially if you have never owned it but I think the Hulk is a different animal from the current Sub41LV as the current model is really a modern version of the original LV.
I tend to agree with this but it's funny you should mention the "too much green" thing. I was never a fan of the original 16610LV - I'm not big on the black dial / green bezel, and that's actually where I think there is too much green.

The thing that draws you to the Hulk is not the bezel insert, but the dial itself - which many times appears more black than bright green, unlike the bezel. Take away the green dial, and there's nothing special about the watch to me.

Everybody has their own likes / dislikes, but as in my previous replies, there's a reason why the Hulk will always be the top LV in my book. That dial is truly a stunner.

What Rolex need to do next is a green dialed / black bezeled Sub! (aka Riddler)

Personally I never liked the green dial on the Hulk. I prefer the more recent black dial variation! Horses for courses

Having owned all three LV iterations, my personal preference is:
Starbucks > Kermit > Hulk
YMMV

Starbucks is a modern and ceramic version of the Kermit while the Hulk is a green version of the Sub - specifically the 166610

For me it's all about the dial and how it reflects the light.
I have made my choice couple of year ago. Hulk 100%.

I have to politely disagree. The Hulk was not a watch I was remotely interested in when I saw it online and in magazines.

That all changed when I actually got to see one in person on a friend's wrist. I immediately contacted my local AD and picked it up that same afternoon.

Been my daily for the past 5 years and I'm still amazed at how much I love it.

I’ve owned all three. I had two hulks (at different times) it just never seems to stick.

I’ll keep my (bought in 09) M serial LV and the new one. Both seem great to me.

What makes the Hulk so unique is the way the dial changes in different light conditions.

I know we're talking about green watches here but all I can see in this photo is BLUE.

As far as the watches go I like the hulk dial better but I have to say I like the new cases better than the Maxi.

The starbucks is a cool watch but it's no Hulk. The Hulk was the first, the only, and an original. It's a true classic and the collectibility will never fade being the first, and for now only, all green sub. The cermit is a 2nd gen reissue ... nothing special at all, aside from being yet another cool sub. This is exactly why when Rolex re-releases the Hulk, it will never be as special as the first. If there's any doubt here, just look to the vintage sub market to see which references and which years command the highest premium. Hint, it's usually those which are "firsts". Those who were lucky to get a late 2021 Hulk w/ the new card are sitting on a future gold mine given that these were the rarest and hardest to find, with probably only a couple hundred existing (only hit the market for ~1-2 month at max before being discontinued). This has nothing to do with the flip market, but rather the true collectors market.

Collectibility aside, the Hulk's dial is literally unmatched. No other green Rolex comes close, let alone in SS, which is what Rolex excels at.

Enjoy your watch, but it's no Hulk.

The Hulk may very well be the most polarizing SS sports watch the crown will ever make.

Personally I think it's the absolute worst of Rolex. The 11 Series design was a colossal failure by Rolex.

The green dial and bezel just compounds the poor design decisions.
