el oh el....a soft 'pillow' stretching a metal bracelet....great way to start the new year, what's next, my watch is running 2 sec a day fast/slow and does it go with my new shoes....

There are two parts to the pillow. There's the squishy pillow, and the harder C shaped band thing that the pillow fits inside. I was wondering about stretch too, because closing the bracelet clasp is a bit tight when placing it around the pillow/C shaped band.

I store watches in my gun safe with the guns. I keep a device called a Goldenrod in the safe. It keep the air in the safe warmer than the ambient air outside the safe.

The theory is that the warmer air will prevent any moisture to form on metal inside the safe. After many years, I've never had any rust form on any of my guns or watches in the safe.
