Not sure if this shows anything but a good friend bought a white gold perpetual Nautilus as his FIRST watch from there a couple of weeks ago….

Berrys has a policy of not selling a sports Patek as the first Patek. He could be an existing client of Berrys

I’ve also been told by friends that they’ve been informed from other stores not accepting new clients from non local areas lol.

This is his very first Patek from Berrys and his first one direct from any AD for that matter.

That’s why I thought it was interesting. Perhaps showing that they knew their days were numbered and were happy to bend the rules for anyone they see the benefit of doing so with.

He is young, local and has zero budget restrictions so maybe they are looking at the bigger picture…

That is shocking, you really need to see these watches to appreciate them.

Your hypothesis is correct. A WOS group store up North sold a 5712/1A to a first time Patek buyer with a strong buying history (Rolex) elsewhere in the country. No need to abide by Rhone Products edict of not selling Patek sports watches to first time Patek buyers if you are losing your Patek status anyway.

Berrys Windsor store is loosing Patek AD status but as a group they will still want to adhere to the regulations laid down by Rhone products.

Windsor Bishop was removed from Patek's list today. Another one bites the dust!

The Patek signage has now been removed from WoS Manchester and replaced with frontage saying “something new is coming soon”.

I don't recall if this was mentioned before, but Watches of Switzerland Soho is finally off the Patek site. I haven't been down there for a while, so I'm not sure when they actually lost status.

UK down to 27 from 34.

Berrys Newcastle and Windsor
David Robinson Altrincham
Rudell Wolverhampton
Mapin and Webb London
Watches of Switzerland, Manchester and Knightsbridge

... All gone. (I think, might be worth someone double checking!)

I feel sorry for those who have lost the relationship as know how it feels. Looking at these crazy new retail prices I’m not in any rush to make a new relationship - the 5320g is about 25 grand more expensive now than when I got it.

Same here.

I had just received the latest magazine in the mail still suggesting I should contact my AD for any follow up. A week or two later they are no AD no more. No big deal though apart from having one less reason to visit my home town. If I wanted to start anew there are three ADs within a mile or two but more often than not I prefer discontinued models over those in the current catalogue.

hearing so many threads about AD's closing, I wonder if any had closed in Hong Kong. And what would happen if my AD suddenly stopped being supplied by Patek?

In Germany 6 out of 29 doors have been closed, leaving 23 doors open.

I recently went back to the UK to check whether my profile is being transferred from Mappin and Webb to Watches of Switzerland.

Good news - The profile is being transferred

Bad news - They claim now they can't sell to a non-UK resident. I appealed to them that I have bought two PP timepieces from them and they still owe me a 5168G. Also its hard to restart relationship with my local PP AD.

Anyone has any suggestions or come across such situation?

On the one hand there are 4 Patek AD's in Kuala Lumpur (your profile states that's your location). However if you have a UK address maybe you can try to persuade the UK AD to keep you on as a client? Finally, in the nicest possible way, I'm not sure anyone is "owed" any Patek, let alone an Aquanaut.

Just realised Zurich at the Peninsula Hotel in HK has closed. Wonder if any other HK ADs would be cut

That's shocking considering they opened their PP-only boutique in the Peninsula relatively recently? I remember when they were still on Nathan Rd next to Rolex. Of course there's still Hour Glass, Europe and Emperor close by (I'd note Emperor used to have locations at 1881 Heritage and iSquare).

I know Cortina will be closing once their lease is up with IFC (2 years).

I also heard rumours that PP may be consolidating Ads with multiple locations.

With a new MD in town, no one knows which AD will come out as a winner.
