Looks perfect for a diving watch! Honestly I like it better with the red/black NATO and non red lettering on the dial. A+

I guess I just got some reflection in the picture. The numbers are definitely not glowing.

While it's not something I would do to my Sub, I admire your planning and execution. I like the contrast between the metallic sheen of the HEV compared with the PVD'ed case. The green NATO appeals to my aesthetic sensibilities far more than the red and black, and I think suits the case colour, giving an attractive military (should that be naval) appearance.

I agree wholeheartedly with Ed Rooney, as your creative use of a pre-owned watch shows what can be achieved for a fraction of the cost compared to offerings from some PVD resellers we all know.

I'm sure the photos of the PVD'ed bracelet will attract further comment, although I would have, as you considered, sold it to recoup some of the costs. The green NATO is sympathetic and I suspect that it would also look excellent on a black leather strap, if you were not diving for a while.

If you ever did want to sell it, I'm sure you would have a great deal of interest, and I suspect you may be setting something of a trend.

Congratulations!

P.S. Although it may be linguistically proscriptive, Jason's watch is "unique" not "very unique" by which most people mean "very unusual," it truly is one of a kind.

That looks spectacular! I love seeing a nice customized Rolex! The purists may feel differently but everyone here will agree all that matters is YOUR happiness with your rolex. The colors and contrasts look great - Well done my friend!

Pretty cool mod, I like it! I'm looking forward to seeing the bracelet butI think it's going to be hard to top the red & black strap you've got right now. Good job!

I finally received my bracelet back from the PVD treatment, and several of you had requested pictures once I got it back on the bracelet. I am very pleased with how this entire project turned out. I do believe it is my favorite watch.

love it...probably would have kept the non-LV hour and minute hands, but otherwise very, very cool...also cool that you have standard one to wear too

Looks fantastic - really pops! Normally it seems that the only mods that look good are the subtle ones that only a WIS would notice - a dial here, some hands there, different bezel. You really pulled it off! Congrats...
