VERY wise move. It won't be a matter of yes or no, just a matter of which RM...

Just to clarify these are indeed the three modes but the crown doesn't move. You use the pusher to change modes and then just turn the crown in its fixed position.

That's a very nice one you have... I am not into the wild and exotic special editions and tourbillons for price reasons, but based on pictures, price and functionality, I would pick RM11 Ti with many strap options BUT I would have to save for a while (at least 6 months). RM10 is next and pricewise certainly more in reach and better for instant gratification.. The one with roman numbers and big date I don't think I am into. And definitely , most definitely want that tonneau shape, not extra flat or round.
At least to start off.
But trying on in person, who knows this reasoning could go out the window

Thanks again (and Roger) for all the great info and support

That's the main theme of this whole forum...
But since I love watches, it's the kind of enabling I welcome
Actually in addition to enabling, you are helping to point me in the right direction so I don't make a costly mistake

I saw a few models in real, 2 11's, 38 or 39 and another, weren't models I really liked but made me see how special they are, I have never been with any other brand so much from "wow this really isn't for me" to "wow I really have to get one some day" like I have been with RM, but I'm interested in B Watson or one of the baby Nadals, love the clean dial looks on these models, of course my grail would be 27, either 01 or 02, but that's in another life or dimension

Sad that RM doesn't get the love on IG that some of my other watches do. My Panerais get more love. It is going to be hard to work around since I want to wear the RM day and night but I will need to take pics of other pieces as well.

Another dimension or how about a parallel universe?
Everett's many worlds interpretation of quantum theory being taken more and more seriously.
And because all possibile Universes coexist, there is definitely one with you and your RM27, so congrats!

RM watches are not for everyone, their design and style are very peculiar. They are more pieces for enthusiasts and collectors than Pams, which are more fashionable and "reassuring" pieces, IMHO.

Very true. It saddens me. I will have to look at this as an opportunity to shake some of the bad fruit from my follower tree and garner some new followees that are more open minded. I love wearing the piece way too much. It's a keeper for life....

The 35 is a great looking piece, however I still like the 11's and would have a hard time choosing!

Q get over the IG 'no one is liking my RM pics' Trust me that's a good thing--undercover is the best

I understand, in RM I tend to prefer more cleaner dials where the accent is more on the beauty of the movement

You're in NYC, right? We'll have to set up a Lotus/Midnight Fire photo shoot and burn the internet down.

I remember getting no love in my BMW X6... People got it or they didn't, very polarizing. Most people didn't get it.

I personally like products that are polarizing in opinion (as long as you love it), because it means you are not just trying to fit in with everyone else...

I used to date a stylist. Whenever she was helping me pick out anything, she'd ask "are you buying it for yourself or everyone else." I still keep that question in mind before any purchase.

very true, my 3-4 very best friends were all guys with whom I had a not very good contact for 6 to 24 months, one of them is godfather of my son, like music, the tracks you love first time will quickly bore you, while the ones you need to listen to many times to like them last longer, I loved my 5712 and love my AP diver, well 2 years ago I didn't like Nautilus models and APROO, so when you fall for a watch the first time you see it be careful, same thing happened with the Platona, first 3 months I loved it, now hate it

I really don't think about whether a product, or anything else, will be polarizing or not. I buy what I like and try to consider resale value.

I decided to get a 5711 for now...
RM11, RM55, or RM35-01 still on my mind down the road.
I looked long and hard just couldn't find anything less than $85K.

I have a hard time waiting 6 months to a year for something,
I would rather start small, enjoy variety and trade up.
Baby steps, baby steps, I'll get there.
Still love this thread though

Think you made the right move. No use rushing on RM. wait until you can grab the one that really sings to you.
