Ok, so it was IN MY CART.... yet pooof gone and no timepiece for Steven! Sorrrrrrrrrrrr-eeeeeeeeee.

Alas, it is what it is. Welcome to 2022, for both the good and then the other thing. (deep sigh)

Can we go back to 1997, and i'd even settle for the Dot Com crazy, it's never been like this as best i can recall. PEAK Timepiece.

jmo, apologies for ranting.

THE FRATELLO PIECE WAS IN MY CART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Again, apologies.
Lol I had exactly the same experience with the Project Underd0g-piece. I wasn't even that slow. Clock didn't even make it till 17:01 and they were sold out. I also know some people already got theirs allocated wich decreases the total of 50 by some pieces. I guess it is safe to say 'we' shoot at 30-35 watches max. during that launch.

Better luck next time.

Cheers.

I told Xavier they should do that. He had some ideas on how to make it interesting. Wrote it down.

It was ~10 seconds after 17:00 and it was in my cart.... As you say, "Better luck next time" and that is simply the current state of supply and demand. Thing is, and bet flippers will be selling them on Chrono24 the day they get them.... am sure you guys know i would never flip it. Again, this is simply how the market is today. (deeeeep sigh)

This is so awesome. Maybe they can work with the scientists at Kyoto University for a "discount" model with the alloy they just created which uses gold, silver, platinum, palladium, rhodium, ruthenium, iridium, and osmium. They can cut the osmium with some of the more accessible metals and make it a regular production model

Best color of the lot having worn all of them together so if you’re getting the 40mm version I’m both happy and jealous. But 38mm is dainty.

The Salmon looks great, but the 40.5mm case size Salmon dials are not available. The 38.5mm case, however, is available to be ordered in Salmon.

my wrist is small (6.5in), so it should be fine from a size. i was asking more on the appealing of that salmon.

On the S version with polished chamfer to the lugs / bracelet edge - what’s the consensus on the better matching bracelet? Is it brushed or polished?

I think both can work well. Mine came with the polished center links and I opted to have Czapek brush it so it’s fully brushed!

I wonder what happens after the 31 remaining Antaractique build slots get taken for 2023. Will they open up 2024 or will it be sold out until at least next year? I guess we will find out in the next few days presumably :)

Both glacier blue and salmon are really appealing. To me, preference is on the glacier. But on colors there is only one judge … the owner of the wrist (well actually not only on colors…).
Just check if your eyes capture the pink component on the salmon dial. I do not find it, and I would call it more a honey/sandy dial.

I think Xavier has said in past interviews that he thinks a 2+ year waitlist is bad for the company as well as the consumer, so I would be surprised if they open the list for all of 2024. They could open up one additional month at a time though.

Good question .. I ended up ordering the polished as I thought it would match better w the polished chamfer. Would be nice to see some pics of the diff combos (including the rubber straps) to help decide what to get when it comes time to finalizing things.

Any impressions from W&W of the glacier blue Antarctique? i saw a couple of pictures which made me think should I not go for the deep blue instead as it looked a bit pale and muted.

The integrated bracelets on these are absolutely fantastic, one of the best I have seen. The only thing that sits uncomfortable with me is the crown.

It looks better in person, the effect is quite difficult to capture in a photograph (well, of my caliber, at least). However it does need the right light and angle to really get it to pop. I like the subtlety personally, and think it was just enough to provide some structure to the functional elements of the dial, so they don't get lost. But if you're looking for a more dramatic application of color this isn't it.

Edit: realizing you may be talking about the time and date model... I found that blue quite beautiful, and would not use the term 'pale' to describe it, but I suppose that will be subjective.

Does the watchmaker signature and references appear somewhere in your Antarctique papers set?
I believe I heard Xavier mentioning it in recent interviews, sounds interesting but I am not sure to recall whether he was mentioning paper set or virtual info in the digital certificate - blockchain NFT.

I think it's only on the paper set.

Here's an example of the virtual: demo DOT adresta DOT ch /user/dashboard

Only on the paper copy. There's a demo of what the digital one looks like on Adresta.
