Well I managed to escape her, but later when looking at my nail, I couldn't believe how shiny, glossy and smooth it was, it looked like glass. This product is a miracle and the shine has lasted all day. My nail has never looked so good and healthy.

I've gotta get out this girls coffeeshop.
No.....don't leave....
So- that sales girl might have been hitting on you Wes!
Those buffing blocks are pretty cool- a nice quick alternative to nail polish, and it won't chip off like polish does...

Here is one of the presents katie will be getting in her Santa stocking this year hohoho

It's a scene from the horror movie Insidious Tony!

A pretty good movie if you ask me, the ending (except for the very very end) is so-so but there are some rather scary scenes in it, I liked most of it.

...You're right though, it is a creepy scene!

Although the ones I showed aren't all by the same painter, a few of those were made by Jacques-Louis David, nicknamed the painter of the French revolution. Quite a talented artist if you ask me!

Good morning Carl- I would classify your taste in art as "classical-macabre"! Those pics bring back many memories of studying art history...a long time ago...in a galaxy far,far away......

Good morning coffeeshop!
The fall colours are getting close to their "peek", as we say in Ontario...
Our Virginia Creeper just exploded with colour over the past couple of days!!

Michelle, that vine is just absolutely beautiful! How long did it take for it to grow to that size? Is that just one plant?

An upcoming (maybe, if funds allow) project is to get an arbor built behind our garage. I'd thought about wisteria to cover it, that Virginia Creeper is giving me second thoughts. Wonder if they would grow well in Oklahoma...

Classical-Macabre describes Carl's artistic tastes to a tee!

You are probably right ladies, I happen to be a rather strange man (in case my posts didn't make it obvious already...) and I love...well...macabre things (I don't think there's a better word to describe it). Although I never had the chance to read a whole lot about it things related to mythology, different gods and demons and folkloric legends are quite interesting to me.

Beautiful my friend! Funny you should talk about it because as I was filing my brass triangles today I looked outside and noticed the colors changed a lot on trees around here, they look quite nice indeed.

that vine is amazing Michelle, wish I something I had something like that on my pergola. Think I'd be dead before anything like that grows on mine. (Told you I was impatient)

That deck is bigger and even better than I thought. I can see what you mean Mark built it around the pergola.

Well I have a stag this weekend in Newcastle and we all have to wear this. Top Gun, Officer and gentlemen. It's worse than I thought, the jacket is so ill fitting. Shall I post a pic up in the Attire thread, I think that lot over there would have a fit.

Don't know whether you guys in the US/Canada have the same tradition, dressing up for stag/hen do's. And I hate fancy dress.

Hi Lisa! I checked with Mark,(he's the one with the green thumb ), and he said he planted just one little 6 inch pot! He also wanted me to tell you that I had laughed at him- all those 18 years ago! I can't remember laughing, but knowing me, I probably did...

Well Wes- you and I should have an impatience contest! I'll bet we would at least have a tie!

It took approx. 5 years for the creeper to grow up the trellis and start covering it; It has survived countless cold snowy winters...many cold rainy summers...numerous hellish-hot summers,(for Canada at least- you southern folk would giggle over what we consider to be sweltering heat...)
The pergola is now a home to many bird nests, at least one squirrel nest...and i know there are at least 2 soccer balls and a frisbee stuck up there!

Here is pic of the creeper's ...root, or starting point?..base?
Anyway:
