Yeah...mountain biking is one of the things I would not wear a nice watch doing, personally speaking. BUT, it depends on the type of biking you are doing. I have a full suspension bike and live 15 minutes from the Snowmass bike park. Lift server downhill with jumps and lots of chunk is probably a good place for an AP.

However, maybe he was doing more gravel style riding on old logging roads and it was fairly smooth?

Quite easy. Just gotta unscrew both sides and you need something to poke the bar out.

If you are not using an AP strap, you can screw both back in and use any easy change spring bar system and just click it in. If it is an AP strap it is more difficult and takes some getting used to.

Thanks. I just couldn’t push the bar out after unscrewing. I used a spring bar tool but couldn’t. What do you use?

Just for the record, I did end up getting the smaller sized straps from AP. I use the small long strap and the standard sized buckle side strap - allowing me to get 'half sizes'. It's pretty dang comfortable, and I wouldn't say it's top heavy.
