Ordered my first ever Rolex and watch after being 10 years without a watch, and made it to be this perfect Black/Blue Day/Night bezeled GMT..

I don't get why people buy submariners, to me they are pretty pointless, you can time yourself just as well with a GMT, plus this GMT gives you a view of your day, I have my hour hand set to local time instead of actual UTC, this way the bottom means day light work time, and the top dark means party leisure sleep time, there is no better way to track your day, and if I need to track another timezone - just use the bezel lol

Anyway, 5 days for the watch to arrive to the store, I didn't want the display copy, so excited.

Reply to the first page of this thread - calling these watches pepsi/coke/batman is indeed an insult to the watch, mainly because pepsi and coke are disgusting, and batman is a horrible movie (current franchise), so I am sticking to day/night bezel because it makes sense.

First post. I created an account because I'm contemplating joining this club. Is the bracelet easy to size on your own if you have those small jewelry screwdrivers?

you mean initially? you can do it yourself but may I suggest you have your jeweler, AD size it for you until you get the hang of it.... you can adjust to compensase for changes in temperature (dilation) or other factors for comfort... remember you have the easy link extension...

Make sure you try it on both settings...

Im kind of fond of the name batman, I like it better than calling my watch BLNR.... it gives it character, to each his own I guess ;-)

I mean when you get it initially. I'm thinking of buying from someone a couple of hours away and I'd like to wear it on my drive back home.

The BLNR Gmt Owners' Club.

Before I pull the trigger on this, everyone think the cyclops looks fine?

Seems Rolex has a a few different mags 1x 1.5x and 2.5x. Its definitley not one of the smallest one. I want to say its in the middle. Can you compare with others in the showcase?

Mine was not as large as you're showing, (im having it replaced in Dallas as i write this). If I had that, I'd be happy. Again, see if you can compare to others.

Looks good.

I think that the enlargement of the cyclops on pictures also deviates sometimes based on lightning (I guess a darker room makes the date look larger), distance to camera, etc. I see this when I take pictures of my BLNR. So the enlargement of the date can look smaller on pictures, when in reality it looks better. Maybe compare the enlargement of the date with some other watches if you're buying in a store?

Is anyone else bothered by the ripple in the dial right in the center of the watch? Distorts the reflection under direct light and really annoys me.
