PSA: I've seen some disturbing refinish jobs on preowned overseas lately. Not even major dealers seem to be able to refinish these properly it seems.

What about factory refinishing? And which part of it looked bad?

I've never seen factory refinish. I'm sure it's excellent.

The preowned brushing is all wrong (grain) and the polish / brush interface is slop.

I have notice that there are two types of boxes for the three hands. Anybody know what is the difference and why there are two boxes?

Top is new. Bottom is old.

On the top boxes if you flip the insert over it holds and displays 2 watches.

It changed about 1 maybe 2 years ago. Fairly recently.

There's a slot for a single watch and pillow on one side shown in your top pic. There's two slots and two pillows on the other side. The new box is incredibly high quality. I wouldn't trade it for the viewing window one.

There was only a quota of 5 made available for HK on this round the boutique supervisor told me. He mentioned i would have to wait 'up to 12 months' post deposit paid.

I have seen both boxes. Mine is 2019 , came in your 2nd pic box. Has a nice travel case with holder for both straps and watch.

I also purchased mine in 2019, and was given the option of which box to pick. I picked the old one for the travel case.
