I've tried to make yorkshire puddings- (jamie Oliver has a good recipe) but they are always a little too dense- any hints?

Aunt Bessie's. Mum used to always make them, were hit and miss. I wouldn't have a clue.

These are ready mix frozen and rise perfectly. Greatest thing ever

Alright Wes, remember that Lisa and Michelle sang for us? I say we do the same for them...how about we make a cover of this song?

The lyrics are in French but I have no doubt that you'll be able to master them!

P.S.: The title means A Wonderful Girl.

Aucun compagnon problème, ne pense je pouvais rock qui. Lisa et Michelle sera vraiment impressionné. Mon français est un peu rouillé. Hé a obtenu un B à l'école pour elle cependant.

Well now, Carl....you know who was really impressed with this little ditty? My cat! She kept plunking herself down on my keyboard, and nudging the screen with her head! Ah, the french are such masters of seduction!

Mornin' all, it was fun seeing everyone's pictures of their Holiday dinner spreads and family gatherings.....but I can not post any pictures as we are way out in the country where Internet access is sketchy and cell phone coverage is on the 'Edge'. So no posting for me and I cannot even see whatever videos have been posted!!!
We had 12 for dinner and more food then could be eaten...the bird was 23lbs., real mashed potatoes, two kind of stuffing(Michelle, your meat stuffing looks amazing), 4-5 veggie dishes, homemade cranberry sauce, olives...both kinds, acorn squash and desserts. And let me tell you...for dessert we had homemade Sweet Potato pie, homemade Blackberry Cobbler, homemade Pecan Pie, homemade cookies and homemade Pound Cake. And let me tell you...my brother is the cook and all desserts were made from scratch!!!
Take it easy.....Leo

Hi Leo- it wasn't my meat stuffing...Art gets the accolades for that recipe!!!(He just needs to translate it now, and pass it on!
Your feast sounds amazing!! What was your plan of "attack"? Did you just eat slowly all day long....or did you totally starve yourself before the meal, so it all would fit in your stomach? Truly, it sounds as if you are having a really good time!

I stand corrected and apologize to Art......it is amazing looking, and I'm sure very tasty stuffing.....

Michelle, I am a very light eater so I usually do not eat all day and since I have run out of pain pills...I barely put any food on my plate for dinner. Everything looked wonderful and I'm sure tasted good but I spent most of the day with my wrist under a heating pad. And since I am always cold in the winter...I stayed in bed under a comforter!!!

Evenin' Coffeeshop.
Had a quiet day. Ate leftovers and pie. Had another MRI on my back this afternoon. Amazing machines. It only took 1/2 an hour. Results next week.

Good luck with it. I have had two done on my back over the years, years ago. Nothing much was found and my back is much better now. Four years ago I had knee surgery. Had an MRI for that and one a year later. I was in Miami goofing around and playing football. The next day my knee was sore.

I get one every couple of years. It's to monitor the degradation of my disks and the arthritis. Been having a real problem with my ciatic nerve and PT hasn't helped. Pain. Limping. Wah-boo hoo. Yeah right. Everyone has problems.

I've had a problem with my ciatic problem when I had my first job at a grocery store (the usual problem, you don't lift heavy boxes properly...), it took me a lot of time to get through the pain so I can only wish you the best of luck Bill.

Michelle, even tho I do not eat much it's fun to watch everyone stuff themselves and then be uncomfortable after dinner and loosen their belts a notch or two.....I enjoy this Holiday because it's the only time of the year that my family can get together because we are spread out across the whole country.....

Leo, glad you got to enjoy some family time, but am sorry your wrist was hurting.

Bill, hate to hear your back's giving you problems. I hope you get promising news from your MRI results.

Wes, night-night. Wish I hadn't missed you today. Been a busy one - getting the Christmas tree put up and the Thanksgiving things put away.

Michelle, my sister in law brought this wine last night. Thought of you and am having a glass in your honor.

Ugh...those machines scare me! I'm a little claustrophobic ; I've never had a test like that- but whats the chances of getting thru life without one?
Bill- any coping mechanisms?

Well Coffeeshop, we in Central Ontario got hit with a bit of winter last night! It's going to stick around , as today's high will be around 28F. (YEH!! Seriously!)
Our little 6 year old neighbour was out early this morning shovelling his lawn......not the driveway.....the lawn I tried to get a pic, but he ran away-(I had scolded him this past summer for mistreating his puppy and now he's scared of me )
Anyway, here's my morning!

Thanks for posting the snow pics, Michelle. It's been 28 years or so since I've had the pleasure of seeing it in person.

I was pumped when I found this.

When my boy was young he got a real kick out of this song.
Sadly he doesn't remember it all anymore and thinks I'm nuts for playing it for him.
