Enjoying these two tonight, it's been a hard week and these were a welcome end to it. 25 more nights until Jamaica.

Nice! You have any comments on the tasting notes of each? You prefer one over the other?

Enjoy my friend.

I'm interested to hear how it is. The few '13s I've opened so far have been quite good - as well as potential.

Cheers!!

I think the Artemis had a little more fruit to it after it sat for an hour than the 2012 did. Both were great and drank really smooth. Tasting them right after de-corking I think the older one hinted to me that I'd enjoy it better and I did.

We really enjoyed it. Let it breathe for 40-45 minutes, which was probably enough for my novice pallet. Pretty good value IMO at ~$25

If you are looking for a nice holiday gift... may I suggest an engraved painted bottle of Flora Springs wine. Our monthly shipment cam with a giant Sequoia tree seedling too!

The real surprise was yesterday. As I landed, I was confirmed that the new wine from Humberto (please see the El Paso GTG thread) had just been released; and that four bottles were sent to my favorite restaurant under my name!

Made some calls, so we were the first to try BALERO

Same wine maker as the El Paso GTG ? If so what's the difference?

Some great wines guys!

These came in yesterday for me. I find it incredibly hard to resist a 1990 Barolo when I see it. The other wine is a 1991 centenary Shiraz Cabernet from Wynns, to me one of the better Australian wines ever made.

Wow! I thought I was the only one who had lost their mind! In the last couple of weeks I have received 72 bottles, 12 more coming this week and at least another 50 on order. I was just saying I need to have a wine party to use some.

Yes, same winemaker. MT is a 6/8 blend, Balero is Cab-Mer-Temp, smooth, fruity. A young wine for everyday drinking.
