Good morning coffeeshop!
Wow Bendy- if that recording was on an iPhone...well, kudos to that phone! The recording turned out really well, and you play beautifully!

Thanks!! Impressive what you can do with just an iPhone - and I think apple store has mica and stuff you can buy too - I think it rings a bit too loud probably since phone is sitting on piano. ..

I'm afraid I didn't read the novel nor watch the movie Michelle. Please tell us how they are though (as soon as you can).

Never heard of that film, which is unusual. Maybe not out in the UK yet.

Looks a good cast.

David Mitchell is a brilliant writer! This book contains 6 smaller stories that take place over 6 different time periods- from 1849 to 2321AD.all of these stories are somehow connected, and they intertwine throughout the time periods...very cool...a little complicated...but cool!

Thank you Leo! I will try to find out that info.....i'll be getting my Christmas tree next weekend- at a nursery close by- they might know the hardiness zone...problem is, that the weather patterns seem to be changing- and for us, some summers can be cold...others can be hot and dry- as this past summer was.

Michelle, all you need to do is Google the USDA Hardiness Zone Map and find where you live and match up the color to the corresponding zone in the categories. It will tell you what number zone you live in and what your average median winter temperature can be(or in other words the range as to how cold it can get where you live). I do not know how far north you live in Canada to look it up myself.....

Hey Leo- I googled the Canadian hardiness map- we appear to be in between zone 5a and 5b- light yellow to dark yellow....does this make sense?

Hey Michelle, have you done your Christmas card for this year? Can we see it.

Check out Lucasfilm cards throughout the years. Some good ones.

Yes, it does but what you need to find out is how cold it gets where you live and that is something I am not seeing on Canada's official map. When you look at the map of the USDA it shows all of North America, is color coded and gives the average mean winter temperature for each region or one......

OH! Temperature! Well, I don't need to google that- the weather has definately changed over the last number of years; It can get as a cold as -25-30c at night, usually around the end of January until end of february; The summers can get as hot as +28-+30c and humid- mid july to mid August.
Does this help Leo?

Michelle, once again, please look up the USDA Hardiness Zone map for North America and see in Canada where you live and the corresponding zone you live in by the color code. Or do the same on whichever system they use in Canada and see what zone you live in and what the average mean temperature is for your area. For example, I live south of Chicago, Illinois...in Park Forest which is 30 miles from the downtown area...when I look that up on the Hardiness Zone map I am in Zone 5 which has a mean temp. of -10F to -20F.......

Hi Leo, we are an hour west of Toronto. That appears to be zone 5a (light green), on that USDA North America map.
Does that help?

Michelle, Thank you that was the piece to the puzzle we were missing. We too live in Zone 5a which is -15F(-26C) to -20F(-29C) and this factor will determine which plants will survive in your climate. But of course their are always gray areas when it come to a plants survival and you only learn those through experience and asking questions of those who know. Never always trust the label on a plant as those which barely make our zone but usually live in warmer climates are iffy here.....

Quickly checking in guys! I'm about to finish my lathe class, I am in the process of finishing my last exercise before the exam (and its practice). If everything goes well I should have finished before or by the end of next week, which will mean that I'll have more days in bank (I technically have until the 12th of December to finish the class).

I thought I could share this information with you guys!
