Nah but I think we'd have lots of laughs if we did. Does she put hash brownies in the Godiva?

So when Al did this, was it after the Pink Floyd concert

OK, let me 'splain this one..... I rarely get sick, but when I do I make up for it. About 1/2 dead with the flu, did some suspension work on a customer's car, took it to the tire shop for an alignment. Somehow my car ended up there.

That evening I took a lot of Nyquil and when I woke up next morning there was my car, gone. I called the police and reported it stolen. Two days later I drove past the tire shop in my other car on my way to somewhere, and there it was. The police weren't impressed. I limit my Nyquil intake now.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

So where was your car? Was it there? Or was it gone? I just looked out my window and my car is here

Are you taking Nyquil now to make such a statement

It was gone, all right. The only thing that puzzled me at the time was no broken glass in the driveway. 2 days later I knew why.

Nope, no Nyquil tonight. I'm sticking with something safe, Crown Royal & Pepsi.

I didn't know Al back then....but every time he gets together with people who went to the same concert, he gets them talking about it. He's gradually building a 'remember when' to tell, 'cause he told me flat out once that he has absolutely NO memories of that concert himself.

No, just became a mom @ 21 or so. I'm inquiring about old pics and got some distressing news. My brother apparently borrowed some of the 'classic' pics and either never returned or lost 'em. This includes the swimsuit shot I referred to earlier. She was, however, Miss xxxxx (name excluded to protect the innocent) sometime in her teens. I'm on a mission now to scan all the old family pics I can before my brother decides to borrow more...

That's too bad. I saw them in concert and it was one of the most amazing things I've ever seen

Great idea to scan in the old photos - but so tedious!

I saw them in Toronto with all of my sons. It was an experience I'll never forget and to this day is one of the high points of my life. I remember coming home from Toronto on the train, which was packed with people who had been at the concert. It was dead quiet. You could have heard a pin drop. We were all stunned into awed silence from what we'd just heard and seen.

They can't randomly test us. Our union would say it's descrimination if they were to pick on the same people all of the time. Plus it's in our contract that they can't We can only be tested if we're in a motor vehicle accident.

If we test positive at that point, all we have to do is say "I have a problem" and they're forced to get us help at that point

You've got a good gig, for sure! I once worked for Southwestern Bell telephone and we had to go for drug testing during the job application. It really was humiliating - you have to go pee in a cup and they have the handles on the sink faucets taped over so you can't, I guess, add water. Then again, I've heard of places that have you pee in front of somebody, and that just ain't my cup of pee. I mean, tea. Though I understand that is quite thrilling for some people.

Had to do it for a life insurance physical, too, but I must've looked honest because she let me go down the hall all by myself and close the door and everything. (Fooled her, yes I did.)

We get tested when we initially get hired. I swear, I don't know how some people get hired after this.

Does Your Man Sing?

Ok....does your husband, significant other, partner or boyfriend sing around the house? Mine does...endlessly! Al sings ALL the time. He is probably the happiest person I've ever met. He sings in the shower, while he's getting dressed, he sings in the garage, he sings when he's sitting at the computer, he sings when he's doing housework, he sings when he's building things or repairing things, he sings when he's mixing a drink (Lisa would get this one), he sings when he's taking the garbage out, when he's washing the car or cleaning the boat, he sings when he's driving or sailing....he even hums while he's eating!

Anyone else live with this?

Oh djees, I wouldn't be able to live with somebody like that....
I prefer silence! I can't even stand the television because of the noise!

THAT part, I totally get. I work in a very noisy and chaotic environment, and when I get home, the best thing for me is the silence. I can't stand the radio on, I can't stand the tv on unless I'm actually watching it, and even if I'm playing computer games, I have the speakers turned off so there's absolutely no sound. I think I just get so saturated with noise overload at work, that "quiet" is a survival thing for me when I get home. Al's singing is............well.......soothing, somehow.

Well if his singing actually sounds good (which isn't the case with my hubby), than I guess it would be OK...

Dammit... I didn't get much done today, and now I have to go to pick up my "little sister"! We're going to the movies...

You know I always plan to do so many things on my day off, and then I just end up sitting at the computer half of the day reading these posts.... I think I need to ban this place for a while!

Oh, I hear ya! This place is a mixed blessing. I have that same problem on the weekends. I wake up Saturday full of plans for cleaning, laundry, "purging junk" etc., and at 10:00 a.m. I'm still sitting here reading posts and not even dressed yet!

He carries a tune well, and has a pretty decent voice so it's not bad at all....unless he's had a few too many happy sodas, then it's downright painful.

I wonder if Lisa sings?
