Awesome Bill, and great attitude- you are truly worthy of that amazing bike!!!

Haha - we could have a Coffeeshop "Bed Head" day. That would be fun! Except maybe not so much for the guys with buzzed cuts. I know you and any of us other curly gurlies can wake up with some pretty wild hair!

I do like them, Carl. The grey dealer in Winter Park has them in stock and I see a lady in Church wearing one. A buddy of mine in London bought a platinum one for his wife, it is her favorite watch out of the many she owns.

I would need a few months to grow in my winter coat.

Good Saturday morning Coffeeshop! Its a beautiful, glittery day here- everything has a thick coat of sparkling frost, and the sun is out for us- yet again ...its a lovely Dec. morning; I hope you are all having a great one yourselves!

Sadly no. I need to take Wendy's Xterra to the dealership for its last service under warranty. Hope I don't rot there all day.

(pouting) I have to take my own car in for everything. You're a good man. I'm overdue for an oil change. Um, would you mind terribly....? I'll make peanut brittle.

No. But for fun I just went through my stack. Lots of Rush, Stones and Yes in there. What got me going was seeing a Rush concert on TV last night. We used to go see them in concert many years ago. There was always a pleasure in buying new album and opening them up to look inside at the pics.

I have a daughter returning form college today. I need to take care of some car things for her before she goes back. If I don't who will? And she knows that.

Know what you mean. CD cases just don't have the same appeal.

In fairness to a college age daughter, it's a bit daunting to go to a car repair shop. Even at my age, I get the feeling I'm being treated like I'm stupid about car things. Uh, which I sort of am.

(pouting some more) Dave damaged my previous SUV by hitting the neighbor's brick wall while backing out of the driveway. Guess who had to take the car in for all the bodywork?

Sorry to hear that, Lisa. You should have taken Dave's car and told him he could have the damaged SUV. I just want the baby to learn these things. Daddy won't be around for ever and I don't want her to have to rely on some idiot.

Truly, for all of my whining it's better to be self-reliant, for all kinds of reasons.

Here are a few piccies taken during a recent warm December evening. The girls and I took the Falcon downtown to take in the sights.

Neighbor's houses:

Wow. Big ornament! Vi dressed herself if you wanted an explanation for the sweat pants under the shorts.

Ah, one is not enough!

You should have seen tree this fell from!

The "Crystal Bridge." Botanic gardens are inside.

And, totally unrelated pic.... why Whole Foods is fabulous. Where else can you get six kinds of fingerling potatoes to fry up for breakfast?

Thanks, Wes. My 12 year old took most of them. Camera settings were kind of sketchy!

Wonderful pics, and the ones of Ms. Sweatpants Shorts cracked me up. My daughter dressed herself ludicrously for so, so long, and we just let her go forth. Typical day might be: yellow Italian bike racer's hat, fat stripe Gap kids dress, red sweater, and nicely contrasting tights and ankle socks.

I bet Vi felt nice and cozy.

Thanks, J. And Vi was pleased with herself, too! Anything that makes less work for Mom is okay, you know?

Did you get any pics of your daughter in her outfits? Good memories.
