Now seriously though...Wes...and me...a room!? After all the fart jokes he's been telling tonight? I don't know what you think but to me he knows this subject too well...it's suspicious...

Ball Watch update.... the AD manager called today to say he's been communicating with the Ball VP in Switzerland to get the particular watch I'm after. Apparently the dial/case combination I want no longer exists, so they're deciding whether to make it available; meaning, to possibly create a customized watch for me (maybe "special order" would be a better term?). Now, I know Rolex would never do such a thing. But maybe Ball would.

It's this face, but with a non-diamond case. Pink MOP and 3 colors of tritium lume.

At any rate, I'm impressed with the AD's willingness to go to this amount of trouble for a customer who hasn't even committed to buy.

You two definitely need to get a room. With a guitar and a piano in it.

You know, Lisa. Jeffrey Hess, who I have met and is registered here is a Ball AD, along with a Glushette AD, he lives in Fla and is somehow high up in Ball USA or whatever they are called. Maybe he could help you with this. If you want, I may have his office phone number.

Beautiful watch Lisa and a great idea, I hope this custom watch will be available for you! I'm also impressed by the efforts the AD put into this research, it shows how good of a customer service they must give! I hope you'll get more updates soon.

Oh that's right, Art. The Ball service center is in Florida. They probably already know about my request, if I recall correctly what the manager told me. I think it was that the service center wasn't sure if they could do a custom order, so they sent the question to Switzerland. And we're all waiting to hear what they have to say.

If it doesn't work let me know and I'll get you Jeffs' number and you can call him direct if you want.. I haven't seen him post here in a while. He co wrote a book with James Dowling.

Milos is there, indeed. Cool guy. Talked to him a few weeks ago. I have handled his Pateks. And one of those guys is from London, other than James and has an amazing PP collection.

I've been meaning to call her, just haven't gotten around to it. She took some nice pics for me of a Milguass that I once owned, bought it from her in fact. A very nice girl.

I've read good things about the man, I know I've read some of his posts on another forum as a lurker and his knowledge is very impressive as well!

Lisa, I know their watches do not have the styling that Ball has but Luminox makes watches which use the Tritium gas charged tubes. I do own the Navy Seal model and I really like it but again even tho it runs on batteries my body stops this watch.....so I can not wear it!!!

Take it easy.....Leo

I really want a mechanical movement, Leo. That's more important than tritium lume.

So you can't wear quartz watches, and your GMT also stops periodically? Leo, I don't know about you, but I think that at some point you were abducted by aliens who implanted some kind of electromagnetic device in your noggin. Of course, they have erased in your brain any memory of the event.

Have you considered Frank Mueller? The ladies around here buy the crap out of them. In fact the nice mall around here once had two AD's. There is a unisex one now for sale on the sales corner. I have seen Sharon Osbourne wearing them. Jeff Hess once had the crazy hours one with him, it was really cool how it worked. Hmmm. might be something to think about.

Those are pretty neat looking... kind of a Salvador Dali look to some of them. But I think they're lacking in luminescence, and pretty sure they don't use tritium?

I have such weird requirements.
