Nice Karuizawa! Their 32 year Noh whiskey was the single greatest whiskey I’ve ever tasted.

Anyone had this before? Just bought it and haven’t gotten into it yet. I usually drink Ardbeg, Yoichi, and Laugavulin, how does it compare? Smells pretty decent.

The joke is how good it is relative to the price, seeing if my friend can get more from maker!

I kinda figured it would be missing any of the peatiness that I tend to enjoy. I do enjoy an occasional Glenfiddich however.

It kept grabbing my interest in the liquor store and I figured its quarantine time why not finally give it a shot.

I appreciate both you alls responses and insight. Sounds pretty good overall.

I have some and like it. It’s not for everyone as it has a lot of spice to it.

In these crazy times, this is a really nice gesture:

https://www.tampabay.com/news/health...lling-for-40k/

Quote:
Remember the 25-year-old Old Rip Van Winkle bourbon that Tampa restaurant Datz put up for sale last week to help its staff during the coronavirus pandemic?

Well, um ... someone has taken the $20,000 bottle of Pappy Van Winkle off the market — for twice the asking price.

Datz co-owner Suzanne Perry said the buyer is a philanthropic local veteran and bourbon collector who wishes to remain anonymous. Although Perry doesn’t know him personally, he and his wife have been customers of Datz eateries for many years.

Got into it a bit last night. I was pretty happy with it overall. It does have a lot of the hints of the spices from the rum barrels, but not overpowering, kind of worked with that bit of vanilla flavoring it had. I would buy it again. Mostly a Islay kind of guy but this one works pretty well.

The line up for tonight. Had these samples for a while and finally cracked them. Never been that big a fan of Glenrothes, but these were quite good. The John Ramsay was excellent

Picked up a couple of these on a whim. Didn’t like my first glass so I poured all the other bottles out.

I recently got a bottle of Bulleit at the recommendation of a manager I work alongside. So far I'm enjoying it.
