Hmmm, I don't blame you for wanting to try it on first, Lisa. You haven't been able to try on the diamond version have you? At least that would give you an idea of fit. I like the pink MOP too.

Didn't know you were without power, Leo. Do you have a generator? Glad things are getting back to normal.

No, Karis. The AD had no Lady Conductors at all in stock. Nor the men's size. All I've had to go on are pics on the internet and in brochures.

Here's one from another forum. Watch is 28 by 38 mm. I don't know how this gal's wrist size compares to mine:

For comparison, the men's size (it's 35.5 by 47.5 mm):

Lisa, no generator...but was out of power for just under one full day. But the cable for Internet has been out about 95% of the time. They do not know how to drive down here and besides the rain and ice over 10" of snow fell and knocked down 1,000's of trees which made get the power back up difficult. Pam's brother and his family had power but they turned their backs on us and said we were on our own...for the most.....so much for them take pride in being Good Christians!!!

We are heading home today...two days late and am expecting bad weather as we drive the 700 miles plus back up North...but we will get home.....Wes, that was an amazing gift you have your Mom and I know she will treasure her gift and use it for years to come.....I trust everyone had a great Holiday and I know all the Mom's and Dad's enjoyed their Christmas by watching their children enjoy themselves.....

Lisa, I like that watch you are thinking of buying...and can not think of any other special woman who is more deserving of such a fine watch.....

Carl, how long are you on break before you go back to school and how much longer before you graduate???

Art...send us some of your heat down there in Florida so we can make it home without ice and snow.....

And to everyone have a great weekend and enjoy your time with family...Ben and Bailey(his dog) have enjoyed our visit and do not want to see us leave but it is time to hit the bricks and get back home!!!

Take it easy......Leo

The Ball website says the same thing. It's a design taken from their original tank style from the 1920s.

I asked the Ball people if that particular watch was available without the diamond bezel. Well, today I received a very polite reply from them:

"Dear Mrs. A,

We are delighted to announce we shall produce the lady Conductor watch you like.
The model numbers are :

NL 1068-L3AJ-PK - Strap
NL 1068-S3AJ-PK - Bracelet

It will become available around mid Jan.

Hereby, we wish you a Happy New Year.

God be with your family,

Henry"

How cool is that?
Very cool Mrs A

Can we see a wristshot of the cutout from the brochure?

I could just cut up the brochure and get another one... but hope this will give you an idea. The clasp is really comfortable if you don't mind tape.

Hmmm. Maybe I will cut out the pic from the brochure. Be right back.

Here, this might give you all a better idea.

The women's:

The men's: (this one is 47mm from lug to lug - would be wider than my wrist)

What do you think?

Don't know yet. I wanted to get to the mall one last time before New Years. We usually keep the stuff up to the 6th but I am very glad to see it come down and put away.

Glad to hear, guys. It's a fairly boxy watch so I would imagine it to wear somewhat prominently - here's another angle, lifted from Google.

Help? Bwahahaha. I did, however, tell the girls that if they were bored their dad would be happy to take them somewhere. So they asked him, and he did.

I'm taking a wee little break before tackling the tree. All the other stuff is put away. And I'm organizing the storage closet while I'm at it.

Ooh... do you have pictures? My first "nice" watch was a Gruen curvex tank from the late 1980s. I still have it.

Good, peace and quiet. Maybe a time for a drink. In fact.
