I ordered it on the day of the launch. Got 2 other pateks, but only one (5164) from this AD. I was also told that they receive only one 5968g in blue per year. Don’t know if this is true, tho.

Took this recent pickup for its first outing on Friday. The lighting indoors doesn’t really do the dial any favours. But when the sun hits

BTW, you've had the 5990/1A for a while, and the 5990/1R looks to be a bit newer - how do they compare? would love to hear your honest thoughts.

The 1A is more light and easier to wear, the 1r is very similar to my 5980 1r but I like the updated double release clasp better. The weight difference between the steel is very noticeable. The blue dial also is nicer to me than the steel dial.
