Congratulations, so happy for you! The SD43 was my very first Rolex too. Recently re acquired it and it won’t be going anywhere this time.

Congrats to the OP!

Why is this surprising? Every single existing Rolex customer was a new customer at one point.

lol, really? But every single existing customer didn’t make their first Rolex purchase in this climate where it is hard to randomly walk-in and buy a sports model Rolex. You know that, right?

I also got an SD43 this year on a very quick turnaround.

Everyone is all over the Submariner, but the SD43 fits me better an I love it.

However at 3K more than the sub I can understand why it is not as fast of a seller.

Regardless, enjoy yours like I enjoy mine. Well done.

It's because the size , not the price.

Agreed.

I think it’s an awesome watch and really wish I could pull it off, but looks way too big on my 6.75 flat wrist.

I had chance to try it several years ago, when I looked at it on my wrist just had my memory back to those toy watches when I was kid.
I don't have oversize G-shock on my wrist but just no DS, lol
For those who have big wrist DS is perfect!

Congratulations on the new acquisition to you both!

A question for you, you also have an Omega Seamaster, how is the wearing comfort in comparison?

It warms my heart to read success stories like this one where you not only had a great experience, but you also went home with a new watch. Congratulations, man!

Congrats to OP.

It’s somewhat bittersweet. Glad it worked out for OP and the SA in question. Makes me wonder if the list is a thing at all except with deep history. Looks like SA takes the path of least resistance/ fastest sale.
