They definitely did a good job on these. One question: Is the bracelet any wider than previous model? If Rollie keeps making the cases wider (even if only at the lugs like the 40mm tool watches), at some point the bracelet should also get wider otherwise it might get unbalanced in appearance.

Thanks for the pics, Stevo. I got on the waiting list at my US AD as soon as I saw the pics from BaselWorld. Can't wait to get the white one! Hopefully this month....no word on pricing yet.

I believe the bracelet is wider.
It is really well proportioned.
No polished centre links.
However I wish Rolex used the same clasp as they do on the Submariner that allows for micro adjustments.

I know we're still waiting on this, but I fully expect those hands on the retail model to be matte.
I'm not crazy, right?

I prefer the black one. White looks a little busy with so much black in the white dial. Love the maxicase though

Best,

That was one of the first things I noticed, it looks like the crown should be a bit beefier. I still really like white one, will have to go check it out in the flesh.

looks good but i would rather jump straight to a gmt master. it is much more classic and versatile.

i think exp 2 will carve a segment of its own

Wish they would have made 44mm and had a 22mm bracelet on the new Explorer II. 42mm is still a bit small IMO.

Well, who know Rolex might be designing it now, but 5 or 10 years later then launch. so now launch 42mm first to test market. Looking at the trend, Rolex seems to be increasing their case size. Just look at Datejust II, Deepsea, YM II, now Explorer II... Maybe next year is Sub No Date. Hahaha...
