What the young man failed to understand is that as an adversary death really isn't hard to beat. If you're skillful you can defeat him again and again almost with impunity. The problem is that death is immortal, he keeps coming back and unlike you, he only has to win once.

Yea, believe it or not it came out of an old Field and Stream article about a bear hunter. I read it in the magazine probably 25 years ago and it chilled me, I remember thinking that is the mantra that needs to be in my head for the job that I do. I love the untouchables movie.
