There are a lot of different styles of Rolex watches and I enjoy seeing what the younger demograph is wearing. Sure, I wonder what some of these people do that affords them to own many extremely expensive watches but personally it's none of my business. I applaud their success, luck, whatever led them to their current financial position. To the member that said that there is no way people can make enough money legally to own the pictured watches.. Just because you can't do it doesn't mean someone else can't. Don't be a hater.

Awesome response. Well done.

I also don't see why the thread has become a little contentious. Although I am over 35, I had most of my current collection before I was 35. It's not impossible, nor does one need to resort to nefarious or illegal activities to attain nice watches before reaching an age that isn't even particularly young.

If the thread had been aimed at those under 18, then maybe it would be more impressive...or contentious, depending on your stance.

Nonetheless, as others have said, I'm just happy to see that some people under the age of 25 still have an interest in quality watches!
Exactly. 35 is arbitrary. Not even young.

30+ with a Rolex, not really that impressive. My exact sentiments from the start.

Let's go under 25, actually lets with under 21. That is young.

You know, I was born wearing a Rolex, so none of this phases me.

Im 44 now but i bought my first rolex at 18

I can honestly say i get more flak for spending money on watches from people now than i did when i was young.

I say enjoy and if you can afford them the sooner the better

If those questions concern you, it's very easy to start a new topic.

35 is not that arbitrary, it's roughly the beginning of the millennial generation but a nice round number. To me in a place where details like matte, glossy, no wg surrounds, color of hands, size of hands, #of lines, creaminess of patina, hollow or solid links, the right box, color all matter I think someone can ask about a subset of those buying.

It could show a change in trends, no change, a trend in itself. Lots of info that doesn't matter to you but might to the person asking. Anyhow, wear in good health and leave the topic alone or start a new one if it bothers you that much.

Personally I like seeing what everyone has < 35. I'm looking to see how many buy modern or have vintage.

I have a similar set, looking to add the SDC in December. Thoughts on how it compares/sits next to the BLNR?

Sits a lot higher.. But the glidelock makes it ok. I really wish the blnr had a glidelock.

33. I see a few haters couldn't help expressing themselves. Just know if you believe only illegal activity is the way to earning success at a young age then that becomes your reality. We can attain and grow as quickly as we see fit. I believe therefore I am.

It's surprising to me how many people measure their success by how many expensive watches they own, not a judgement, just an an observation after reading this thread.
