After a few weeks of mulling it over, I've decided to go with the BLNR. Thanks for all of the pics and opinions.

Lol, it's the first car that came up in my mind. Plus, you'd be surprised, civics are pretty luxurious nowadays.

OP, good choice going with the BLNR. You won't be sorry!

Thanks for adding the pictures to this thread. I had a chance to pick up a BLNR at the weekend and it blew my mind. I liked the aesthetic before, but after seeing one in the flesh I see what all the fuss is about. I was hoping to pick up a Tudor GMT until my BLNR spot comes up but I doubt I'll love it as much.

Both are perfect but if you cant then the BLNR is my pick over the Tudor.

You made the right choice (IMHO). They’re both incredible watches and attractive in their own right, but the smaller size of the BLNR, the easy-link clasp, the unique black/blue ceramic bezel, and Rolex prowess can’t be beat. And if they update the movement next year you can easily trade-up.

You made the right choice. The Tudor is an excellent value proposition but if you have the means to choose between a Rolex GMT and the Tudor then the Rolex is the better watch. The increased power reserve is nice but it doesn't make up for the other things the Rolex has going for it.

Enjoy that beauty. It looks great on you.

A BLNR and 58 might be the best two watch collection or you can go Tudor GMT and a Rolex Sub.

BLNR all the way. Worry about the new movement if it happens - who knows it may be hard to get for some time if it happens.

I’ve just read this entire thread out of curiosity.

I am a Rolex man through and through. I’m also a GMT man. Amongst other pieces, I have had a WG BLRO for a couple of years now.

My only serious detour was a few years ago when I bought two APs (15400 and SS Diver) . They’re beautiful watches, but I soon came home to Rolex.

Three weeks ago I bought my first Tudor....the BB GMT. I absolutely love it. None of my other watches have had a look in.

People here often write “it’s subjective”.....“buy the watch you like”....”get the one that sings to you most”.

I believe that this Tudor is the watch that is making me rethink what I want to be wearing. I am appreciating it purely for the watch that it is, and not for its label. To me, it is taking the the (correct) attitude of “you wear a watch for yourself....not for what others may perceive” towards its natural conclusion.

I no longer feel the “need” to be wearing a Rolex. We’ll see (and I’ll report back honestly) if this changes in any way....

This Tudor makes me feel the same way. Was set on the Rolex blro. But I literally could not walk out of the store without this watch once I saw it. It’s an amazing timepiece and Tudor should win every design award for the BBgmt.

The explorer ii 216570 makes me feel the same way. Appreciate a watch for what it is. Leave all the hype st the door.

I was able to get a BLNR very early on, and wore it sporadically for three years. I just never fell in love with the boxy case and the bracelet to lug transition looks awkward to me. The constant fanboy posts around here actually started to turn me off to the piece as well, so it became the only Rolex I’ve sold in 30+ years of wearing them. I replaced it with a white Daytona C, so it wasn’t hard to get over not having it.

I love my Tudor GMT however. I just can’t see a BLNR on the wrist of Paul Newman or Steve McQueen, but the Tudor absolutely, all day long!

I think the BLNR will age horribly too. The bezels will look new while the rest of the watch won’t. Maybe that’s the reason for the boxy lugs, so you can polish them to death! They’ll never have the charm of an aged piece with a faded ghost bezel.

Between those two GMT watches I’d pick the BLNR. It will come down to which one you desire the most and fits your lifestyle better.

Rolex GMT BLNR or Tudor Pepsi GMT

I’m on the side of Tudor, here. But that’s because I just don’t get the BLNR love. Not my kinda thing. Now, Tudor Pepsi vs Rolex Pepsi SS, that’s another matter — not that you’d be able to get one, obviously.
