What is your hope going forward.

If you want future consideration for hard to get watches from this AD seems you need to do something other than return the diamonds.

If you want to return the diamonds then do it. They certainly can not legally deny you a refund but they can certainly not give you the first choice on a hard to get watch in the future.

You decide how you want to proceed. The expected outcome from both options seems pretty predictable and obvious.

Do what makes you feel right man. If your gonna loose sleep over this then take EVERYTHING back. You agreed to the deal BUT you can change your mind (as per the receipt) if everything is new and unworn! I see nothing wrong w taking it all back.

I always treat other how I would want to be treated. It has served me well.

As a side note I value the relationship I have with my AD. Both of my last 2 watch purchases had to go back for minor tweaks from a Rolex trained watchmaker. They always made it right. YMMV.

The ADs did not make this market (customer demand + supply deficit did).

Anyone else glad words like “hater” expose people’s subjective opinions that Completely contradict all official stated policies?

I think "hater" is a strong word that's thrown around for even the slightest difference of opinion .Overused awful word,I find.

Its not something we use in my part of the world

Because modern business is littered with peoples word right? If so then AD should have also acted accordingly.
This was not an agreement between men, family or the like. It was a shakedown and nothing more so to the victor go the spoils whomever that side may be.

You made yourself. And it looks like you played yourself. Enjoy the watch and diamond. Maybe you can take a 5k loss on the stone if you dont want to keep it.

Stop playing the victim role. No one made you buy anything.

Hater is misused frequently like ANY word. But that fact does not dismiss the fact people are haters and form subjective opinions with this as a basis. “Your part of the world” should think critically and embrace evolution of language.

Two parties entered into a clearly defined deal with zero coercion.

I know I'm not going to change your thinking here, but it's all really so clear to me.

weird that some folks here are lining up to defend the AD......we all like watches, and we all like to think we should be able to buy them at the correct price. Is the market so messed up that paying nearly double the retail on the grey market is considered normal? Its not normal, its messed up! And being told you have to spend $10K on diamond tat, in order to make a purchase is messed up. So return the jewellery if you can - changing you mind about a purchase is entirely within your rights.

What is subjective about seeing you agree to something and now seeing you want to change the terms of the deal?

I have to cut my lawn dude so I'm going to have to let you figure this out on your own.

Pics! The jewelry and the amazing Daytona. I’m not the first to ask, why won’t you post them? This IS an enthusiast forum after all.

With that being said I completely disagree with your notion of “me being unethical” for taking the call and showing up for the deal bypassing others. That just does not make sense to me.

Oh okay. I guess that is different.

Because it WAS your turn but you were asked to bundle.

I assumed you tried to bundle to get the watch, disregarding all the other people in line.

I apologize for assuming that.

Well, let us know what you decide to do. I would be surprised if you get to return the jewelry for money, but we’ll see!

Return diamond jewelry, keep the watch and tell them to go eff themselves. If they do not refund the unworn diamond jewelry, call your attorney.

To me, this post isn’t about whether it was ethical for the AD to bundle the deal. It seems like you want confirmation that it is ok to return just the diamonds. At the end of the day you agreed to their deal, and to go back and return only the diamonds makes you as shady as them.

This is no different then buying something at Nordstrom’s, Sears etc with a return policy.

Has no one here bought something in good faith and then returned part of your in good faith purchase...this situation is nothing more nothing less?

Those who have done above (maybe after even using item) and are arguing this point are frauds!!!!!!

If the AD is smart they will only accept a return for both, as clearly the intent was to get maximum value for a high demand watch, this idea of returning the unwanted bundle part has been around for 2 years now, ADs can't be that green anymore.

Please return the diamonds. I want to hear what happens. Especially if someone at the store takes it back.

I can't imagine them denying this.
