Oh the irony. Was a time when EVERYBODY was complaining Rolex wasn't keeping up with the times. The biggest [pardon the pun] selling point of the Tudor Big Blocks was it was the largest Rolex Oyster case made up to that time. The DSSD release was lauded as Rolex finally filling an overlooked void in the market.

Now, all I see is, too thick, too wide, too long lug to lug, the era of big watches is over, bla, bla, bla. Not sure where all the men have gone but the wrists have gotten decidedly smaller the last few years.

I love watches 40mm to 45mm and thickness is never an issue.

Don’t mind the fair-weather wagon. Apparently it’s easier to follow “influencers” rather than make your own decisions. It won’t be long till the trend flips again.

No real predictions, but I keep hoping for a modern sized Explorer and modern sized Submariner with a proportional case.

I hope the Glamour collection is discontinued.

Everyone wants more in the BB58 case size, but i don't think Tudor are going to pander to the public.. Last Basel, Tudor was more talked about Rolex (more from disbelief with the P01 than anything). Here's hoping for more fireworks.

Still thinking about a Green Pelagos. I think it would look great and have a green rubber strap with it. It might get me back into the Pelagos game.

Apparently the all Glamour variants, 1926, Classic, North Flag, & Fastrider are getting pulled from NA market due to lack of sales.

SHOCKING!!

The 1926 has nothing special about the look or feel that couldn't be filled by a Seiko Quartz.

North flag (I don't hate it).... Why the integrated bracelet style? And not even done well like Patek or AP. Looks like it should be a "Smart Watch"...

Glamours - Case shape sucks. Nothing special about them. Too much TWO-TONE everywhere.

I don't hate the fast riders... I'd buy one, at $2k like my Hamilton Chrono, but not at $5k.

vs.

+$3k pocket cash.

It's not even close... Same movements....

The North Flag case design was probably taken from the Rolex recipe book as it resembles the 1530.

It’s definitely not for everybody. Hence the abysmal sales here in the States.

I have to agree here. Because that ceramic case is not worth 3k upcharge. Now if it was a ceramic case, ceramic bracelet, and had the MT-5813 movement. Then yes, it would totally be worth 5k. Hell maybe even more.

Not sure if that's part of the 'DNA', but it doesn't seem logical unless they are intentionally making the Tudor uglier than the Rolex.

I love NATO straps and I might buy a Tudor if it had a solid black or Bond (grey/ black) strap.
That is strange because I think the slime green of the hulk and the purple and pink BLRO are horrible but love all the classy and more conservative colours used by Tudor (inky navy blues and burgundy colours). I’d be willing to bet many others prefer Tudor colours. Have you got any sort of colour blindness?

I'm colorblind and thought both Rolex & Tudor got their latests Pepsi colors wrong.

Then I bought the Tudor GMT and could not have been more wrong. Absolutely love the hues and was surprised how much they actually appear when I was expecting to only see them under direct light. They don't feel the need to scream and that's alright by me.

The OP said Tudor and you put up a picture of a Tag Heuer. Or is it a Doxa or maybe an Omega? Definitely not a Rolex (or a Tudor, the subject of this thread).

Horrible, virtually everything wrong with that one.

How would we know if a particular watch is discontinued at Basel? Does Rolex have their entire line on display? Say for instance the Hulk is discontinued or the red SD43? Would they make an announcement or if the watch isnt on display you can gather it's been discontinued ?

Couldn't agree more. Not a great photo below but I much prefer wearing my BB Harrods with a subtle green insert that goes with anything, rather than the LVc.

This is interesting.
The Glamour range, i totally get - there is little to no interest and lets face it, it's an ugly collection. The classic too.

North Flag is a great watch, not for everyone visually but it has a great history and backstory, and was the first Tudor released with an in house movement. Plus i love the sapphire caseback.

The 1926 range is actually nice. I like the look and feel of them. It would surprise me if it was discontinued..

Can't agree more. The color hues of the red and blue are like those we see in a movie back in the 70s. Just amazing.

I would love to see Tudor incorporate some sort of glide lock or adjustable clasp to their BB line...except I wouldn't hold my breath.

If they did, it would pose a significant threat to big brother's sales, and I guess we can't have that.
