Why not just buy the Rolex you want from a grey dealer ?

I've owned many Rolexes over the years. Great watches. I also had a blue Pelagos which I wish I hadn't parted with. Now that was the nicest tool watch I ever owned. Will be buying another. Doesn't attract the unwanted attention in these days of 'snatch & grab' - rife everywhere.

Poor people can’t afford a Tudor.
:) If you can’t get a Rolex, there are other brands besides Tudor. I’d go with Omega. Especially the new Seamaster 300. Great watch. Lots of colors, options to choose from. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I have seen similar posts come up time after time . What is the purpose of bringing this up .I have 3 rolexes 2 Tudors 3 Breitlings 2 IWC ‘s 2 Omegas but every time I see these posts people have to defend Tudor. I enjoy all my watches , they are all equal to me .

I don't think that those you are considering poor would spend more than a $k on any timepiece,

Only if your hung up on brands. I wear mine all the time, and it is one of favorites among Rolex, JLC, and AP.
Tudor makes some great watches for the $. If you find them appealing then give one a try. You could certainly spend more money, and get less. |

OP. Get a Pelagos. It's an awesome watch. You will not regret it. And no, it's not a "poor man's Rlex".
I have a Pelagos LHD and a Sea-Dweller 4k. For what I had to pay for my SD last year.... over 4 times what I spent on my LHD... most days I'd rather just throw onhe Pelagos and roll. I have my reasons for the SD and it's my only Rolex now and I'll never get rid of it, but that's neither here nor there. I bought into the Rolex hype a few years ago. I've lived and learned and yeah they're great watches but they're not the end all be all. Lots out there and Tudor (especially the Pelagos) is an excellent choice. My BB GMT Bezel colours are so nice, I would be very hard pushed to swap it for any Rolex GMT... old new, ceramic or anodised.
I think Tudor designs have more freedom to play around with concepts, making them appeal to more people. |

No they are not a poor man’s Rolex or watch for that matter.
It’s an amazing brand and I love them. Here’s my latest pick up. Not everyone’s cup of tea. But I absolutely love this one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Tudor is not a poor mans Rolex. The few I know who have bought Tudors either have a Rolex already or have the $ to but a Rolex but choose a Tudor for various reasons.

At that price range, Omega is the best option.
Tudor is no Rolex substitute.

Tudor is not a poor man's watch, it only takes a good pocket man to drop more than a $1000 for watch, don't really know your perspective though for it matters too.
