There have been other watches with this exact configuration (lefty crown with date on the opposite side) so I really do not understand what all the fuss is about. People always complain that Rolex never attempts to mix it up, but when they do more complaints.

Ask for any possible nickname, I think Destro is already starting to stick. Which makes sense because it simply refers to a left-handed watch. And I believe this is the only one in the current Rolex lineup.

Riddler makes more sense than sprite. So does monster.

To the fun police who bitch about a nickname, you’re welcome to avoid using it but insulting those who think it makes it cooler or whatever is absurd. I don’t tend to refer to them by nicknames but can’t imagine the harm for those that enjoy em.

All the new posters on here after a new model is released asking stupid questions and making dumb threads is pretty much akin to those people getting their gym membership January 1 (and then you never see them again after January 10).

Riddler makes perfect sense due to the colors green and black and the question of "Riddle me this:" and "Why?"
Sprite is Lemon-Lime. It says so right on the can. As do the colors Green and Yellow.

If you have been "lurking here for a few years" then why would you post this as your first post? How about New Guy Here or Hi from anywhere?

As I said in my other replies, I waited until I was ready and I didn't want my first post to be the usual: "Hi, here's my new Rolex."

Nice to hear from you. You shouldn't get overworked about new members until it's justified. I've contributed in other posts and I've done nothing wrong, nor have I attacked anyone the way you're doing to me. It's very unbecoming and makes you seem immature. Other than that, I have learned a great deal on this site.

Please understand I am not attacking anyone here. I'm simply pointing out what may be the truth. I have been here a long time and my unbecoming and immature self has seen this one many times. Good Day to you!

Same. Lefty that wears on my left. I'd try this new one on my right hand if it were actually available at MSRP, which it won't be.

No hard feelings and consider it water under the bridge. I've been lurking for about two years now. Possibly three. It's not as long as you've been a member, but you should appreciate that I didn't register until I felt knowledgeable enough to have good conversations. I've seen many people register and ask the same questions about what is a BLRO, BLNR, what is an AD, crown guards, etc...

I plan on being a productive member of this site. Also, I'm not a good golfer, but I do know a hole in one is very impressive. Congratulations on yours. A+

That’s a cool headed calm response.

It’s not like you posted a two-headed monster…

That comment wouldn't even be funny in High School, but I'll play along. I mentioned that my first Rolex was a Yachtmaster #16622 that I purchased in 2004. Since then I've managed to purchase a few more. Forgive me for not putting my rotation lineup in my signature the way do:

People so desperate and trying so hard to come up with a nickname like a child depraved of attention, some of you should find better things to do with your lives and find some purpose.

Is it your purpose in life to belittle others?

This site and forum is for members to chat, share ideas, and have fun. They're not for people like you to tell us to find something better to do. We're keeping it on topic and discussing a possible nickname for the new Rolex GMT #126710VTNR, cause many other models have nicknames: Pepsi, Root Beer, Hulk, Batman, Kermit, Cookie Monster, Smurf, Bluesy, etc...

If you had something better to do, you would have been doing it, but you chose to make a rude comment instead of contributing or moving on. We're sharing ideas and having fun, which is exactly what this site is for.

I couldn’t believe this watch is for real - especially after last week’s Omega x Swatch Speedmaster watch hit the market. It is surreal what is happening in the watch world.

It's stupid and childish and your like the 10th bro trying to get famous for coming up with a cartoon nickname, the other nicknames are stupid also, imagine a grown ass man saying something like cookie monster (whatever the f that means), cartoon or soft drink to describe watch grow up.

More insults. I guess that's your purpose in life.
As for the nicknames, it's part of Rolex whether you like it or not. All authorized dealers, grey dealers, owners, and fans know the models by their respective nicknames. Check Bob's Watches, Chrono 24, and ebay. Nicknames are always listed. Pepsi, Hulk, Batman, Bluesy, and so on.
