Great choice though

You are correct. I made a mistake. It was quite good and we really enjoyed it.

Love large format, that's mostly what I've been buying recently.

I've hired some guys to organize my cellar(the shelves were full, so it was up to my neck in boxes in the middle) and I realize I've got way way too much stuff to ever drink in my children's lifetime so I gotta either get to drinking or get to selling. :)

If I can find someone that would trade watches for cult cabs I'd be in business! :)

Had a 2013 SQN Female Grenache at lunch today with a buddy in LA. A little tight as first but opened up quickly. Still infanticide, but fun to check in on. Wish I took a picture.

I have few each of male/female and I can tell you if you are drinking it young give it like 4-6 hours in a decanter. Ideally however, like you alluded to, I would let these age for a decade or two LOL

I was staying at my aunt's place and she didn't have a wine opener! :( I had planned on opening it that morning, but alas. I did snap a pic to send to the buddy I was having lunch with on the floor before we popped it for what that's worth. :)

A recent pickup. The '04 Rivers Marie Sonoma Coast PN is drinking nicely with our Korean "bossam" pork belly tonight. The Ch Pavie, Dunn and Harlan Estate will slumber for awhile longer.....

FS, I love everything in your picture. I've been collecting some recent vintage Dunn mags, they need to sleep for a long long time!

Tonight, 2013 Antica Terra Obelin. Again, infanticide, but delicious. I haven't had anything from Maggie Harrison that I haven't liked.

Also a late delivery from Cayuse :)

That's freaking awesome! Any particular vintage stand out as the WOTN (Wine of the Night)?

2003 and 2004 were the WOTNs, but only because they were the most ready to drink. 05 was getting there, but 06 and on just needs more time. I still think the 07 is one of the greatest Napa cabs of all time though, but still a baby so not a fair comparison.

Interestingly enough -- in napa 87-97-07 were all spectacular vintages...with that trend...we should all be buying 2017 futures!!!!!
