The SD43 Official Owners Thread

Would love to see some pictures of this reference on a Nato or on a tropic strap
I think this on a James Bond nato will rock !

A picture of my 43 alongside my new Pepsi

Don’t wear the SD43 as it’s pretty heavy so looking to put it on a nice Nato

I sent it in when the accuracy got down to -13 s/d. It's 4+ years old. I've been timing it since I got it back and it's at -0.2 s/d. RSC provided no explanation or paperwork of any kind but hopefully the problem is fixed. No plans to send it in again til it's 10th anniversary

Good to hear Mike . I got my SD43 in May 2017 and it's at -5 s/d now, never took it to the RSC but I will if it gets significantly worse. I hope they sorted it out for you this time.

Guess you're just out of warranty. At -5 I'd just hold out for the first full service honestly. 5 sec I could live with but my accuracy was dropping quicker and quicker the last year of so, so figured why not send it in.

Have the same two and IMHO the SD43 won’t work well on a Nato due to the weight of the case and shape of the case back. The bracelet / clasp helps to balance out the watch ymmv of course.

Let me know if you decide to go that route and how it works out

Agree with Brian. I'd try out a Rubber B or Everest strap personally.

I have been enjoying my TTSD and took the opportunity to try this on while collecting my 114060 from service. I am seriously thinking of moving the Sub and getting this as my new daily.

I quite like the idea of the SS for the week and TT for the weekends. I know ultimately it’s my choice but wouldn’t mind knowing peoples opinions.

FULL DISCLOSURE I have never owned a Sub. (Not a fan.) That being typed; 1. IMO, quite obviously, I would choose the SS as your daily. (FULL BALLER with your TT on the weekends!!) 2. I just sent $300 to Rubber B for a black & devil red strap for my SD43!! 3. Designating my OMEGA, black, 43.5 PO as my dress watch!! 4. GOOD STUFF!! 5. Let us know what you decide.

After getting my SD43 in 2017, I thought about adding my first TT sports watch. I went for the blue Sub41, but was very tempted by the TT SD43. I wish Rolex would make a blue TT SD43, that would have been my choice.

It's been discussed in other threads. I don't have any other information, and Austin is basing his conclusions largely on another poster who got earlier predictions "right". I put that in quotations because even a broken clock is correct twice a day.

I haven't seen any rumored pictures either. IDGuy made his own render of what he thought it might look like if Rolex did go ahead on this kind endeavor.

I wouldn't sell my existing SD43 for one, but not saying never.

I always said I would never put a Rolex on a rubber strap, but this picture may have just changed my opinion. That looks terrific on there!
