On top of that, I started GS Motor Club as a bit of a hobby. It’s been a lot of fun. So these cars I’m posting essentially revolve around that.

Sure, maybe a bit of flex going on. Hard to deny that. But really it’s just a sharing of my hobby and my passion for cars. I enjoy looking at, reading about, and learning from others more so than I do my own. Hence one of the reasons to start this new thread.

Brabus G550 - to haul gear to and from shows. Heck of a show car.
Cayanne Turbo - the daily. Just getting new wheels and tints and maybe a black skirt along the bottom. More pics when I get her back.
AMG GTR - the track car. The hammer.
Porsche 992 Turbo S Cab - the other daily. The scalpel. So fast. So precise.
A kid I know just purchased a 16 GTS isn't that 1 step below the GTR ?

Interesting.

Ferrari will continue to build cars with internal combustion engines into the late 2030s, despite efforts by governments around the world to phase out the technology.
The boss of the Italian manufacturer said it would be "arrogant" to dictate to customers what they can buy.
For Ferrari, as for many other premium brands, the move towards electric cars presents a steep marketing challenge.
But the company is due to introduce its first electric supercar in 2025.
Traditionally, the raucous sound of an eight or 12-cylinder internal combustion engine has been a key part of its appeal. But battery-powered cars are much quieter.
Nevertheless, Ferrari is planning to launch its first fully electric model in two years' time - a design the company insists will offer a "unique driving experience".
This puts it at odds with rival brand McLaren, whose CEO told an FT automotive summit this week the technology was "not ready" for use in supercars, due to the weight of the batteries.
Last year, Ferrari unveiled plans for a three-pronged approach in developing new vehicles, as part of a commitment to becoming carbon neutral by 2030. It said electric cars and hybrids would make up an increasing proportion of its range by the end of the decade.
But it insisted it would continue to develop internal combustion engines as well, to build on what it called "an essential part of the company's heritage".
Until recently that strategy appeared to have a limited lifespan, with a number of major markets preparing to ban the sale of new cars with internal combustion engines by 2035.
New cars sold in EU must be zero-emission from 2035
In March, however, the European Union agreed to provide an exemption from its own ban for cars run exclusively on synthetic "e-fuels", produced using renewable energy.
Such fuels are expected to be expensive, but the loophole means performance car makers will still be able to sell models with engines across one of the world's biggest markets.
In a BBC interview, Ferarri boss Benedetto Vigna pointed to this decision as a sign that technology was evolving, and denied doing so would undermine the company's environmental credentials.
"I don't want to be arrogant and impose a choice on our client," he said.
"It is the client who must choose if they want an ICE (internal combustion engine), a hybrid or an electric car."
But in other markets, including the UK, no such loophole for e-fuels yet exists. That raises the possibility of some Ferrari models being available in the EU, but banned elsewhere.
"We have to cope with the rules of all the countries we operate in," said Mr Vigna.
"The reason we have three kinds of propulsion - ICE, hybrid and electric - is that it allows us to cope with any regulation, all over the world."

Extremely handy when your friend helping you build the car owns his own CNC machine shop.

Gorgeous! And I’m sure right at home in Miami; my wife has no interest in visiting but between the cars, watches, (and the beach) I’d love to go do some “sight seeing” lol.

Went to a couple car shows a few weekends ago. Luft 9 was April 30 and only a short 30 minute drive from my home and there was a “May Madness” event the following weekend downtown a few blocks from my house. Here are a few pictures including my 85 Targa at Luft 9.

What do you guys think of the Spyder RS? I pre-traded my 992 GT3 originally for a 4RS allocation with the ability to switch to the Spyder RS if I want and I'm 95% sure I'm going in that direction. I can't stop thinking of 9K RPMs without a roof. It's a special car that definitely won't be produced for long.

Hard pass for me. Just does nothing for me, I could see my wife driving it.

Interesting. It seems like the most street-able way to enjoy that engine. Has a more compliant suspension than the 4RS too. For a track junkie, the GT3 or 4RS obviously makes more sense. But I didn't find my 992 GT3 *that* enjoyable on the street. And the touring isn't any better in that regard.

Saw a few Spyders at Luft and they are really nice cars. I’ve always been fond of convertibles as there’s nothing like driving one on a curvy back road with the top down.

Calling all my fellow car enthusiasts, I need to “poll the room” and would love any insight or recommendations anyone can offer. My 2018 Trackhawk has recently started to feel like it’s floating and wandering, it’s especially bad above 80mph and beyond. Happens under throttle as well as when coasting, but it’s the worst immediately after lifting off heavy throttle at speed (pulling from low speed up to 80mph+ then lifting off). In sweeping corners it feels like it’s fighting against itself. Almost feels like the body is loose and “wobbly” on top of the drivetrain.

Alignment checked out dead on perfect, double checked wheel balance no issues there. Tires are new and inflated evenly. The master technician at the Jeep dealership seems stumped. They are replacing both front control arms this week to see if that helps (under warranty so no cost to me), but just wondering if any of you fellow gear heads have any thoughts or input. Kind of feels like they are just throwing parts at it since they don’t really know what’s causing it.

Thanks in advance!

Sounds like a suspension/bushing issue to me. Can they see them? If not, they will have to disassemble to be sure. Make sure they look at all the lady bits while in there (and under warranty). Upper, lower, sway bars, etc.

This is where physics comes home to roost for a 5,400 lb. sledgehammer.
