I may actually have too many and may have to start culling the herd. I still want my 1960 Rolex, though. Oh decisions, decisions.

Milkkibarry, my idea is you can never have too many and this way you have choices. Your watches are really nice and I have enjoyed seeing your pictures of them. If you have more keep them coming!!!
Take it easy.....Leo

It can hang out with my 1985 engagement ring, Leo. I got it back from being resized yesterday - hadn't worn it for probably 20 years because it was too big. And with the Ball watch coming soon, I'd better calm down a little!

What's that? You would like to see the ring Okay!

Lisa, your mother was indeed a beautiful lady, thank you for sharing that picture.

Mikki, congratulations on the Chopard, it is lovely!

Art, since you were born in 1960, must I call you a vintage man?

That would be fine by me, Carl. Like a fine wine as they say. Even at my advanced age there are not many younger guys who could take me on.

Lisa, your engagement ring is beautiful and I'm glad you now have a chance to wear it again.....so...you have decided to purchase the Ball Watch as well...good for you. I thought you were still in the thinking stage???

I have an old European cut round diamond that was my Mom's Mothers diamond that she wore as a pair of diamonds in a pendent. It is .55 carat and I have it set in a men's ring but since buying the two Hearts On Fire Rings...I have put it away for now.

I told my son if he wanted it he could have it. Also I have one decent .25 carat diamond stud if anyone can use it in something...it is available.....I also suggested my son could pierce an ear and have the stud but he's to Conservative and said no...no piercings for him!!!

Take it easy.....Leo

It's only gotten better for me Leo. I've been very lucky with my health and am very active. I am sorry that you have to have the pain that you do. I really am.

Thank you I know everyone cares about me and wishes my situation was different but I AM GRATEFUL to be alive. I do enjoy and look forward to each day as new possibilities and an opportunity to learn and enjoy life. I have my friends, all of you as friends here as well, my plants and continuing study to learn more knowledge about plants and flowers, I have other hobbies(I study and collect Early American Copper coins), enjoy Jazz music and listen to vinyl on my stereo, do Native American loom beading and collect Case knives just to name a few.....

I have a passion for life and do what I can to be positive just lately I have hit a small snag and I just have to work through it and make adjustments. I am a survivor and will prevail...but again thank you very kindly for your words of encouragement and concern.....take care and have a great day!!!

Take it easy......Leo

Yes, a Milgauss 6541, it would take a lottery winning ticket though. The one I handled was $100,000 I think, the sale papers were from 1960.

Whoa! Not my speed at the moment. I already got some grumbles this morning when yet another watch arrived. I'm trying to be very conservative, "collecting" Rolex, JLC, and Chopard. The Chopards have been amazingly good prices for young models like Imperiale Gstaad and LaStrada. The others are much older, so I haven't gone completely insane. At least not in THIS area :-).

Speaking of which, I just gave one of my old rings to my jewelry teacher so she could work on it. Long story short I gave it to a jeweler so he could make it bigger but in a year and a half (you read me, a year and a half) he hadn't done more than cutting it and opening it. It has a very special design and some parts are very thin so he told me it was cracking whenever he would try to move anything but at that point I know he just left it on the side and concentrated on other repairs (which I find rather unprofessional). I dealt with the guy for quite a long time now and am really bummed by this so when I got my classes and saw how good my teacher was I knew she'd be able to, at the very least, be honest with me and tell me the truth about everything.

I can't wait to have it back especially since it was very ugly because the guy used some products on it and heated it, hadn't I known this is what a ring is supposed to look like when it's being worked on I would have panicked!

I'll keep you updated with the results!
