Just took off my new journe to go run some errands and put this on. Immediately rocked it into the wall coming around the corner and took out a chunk of drywall. Not a mark on the watch but a piece of wall is missing. That’s why this is my favorite watch. It’s a tank. Would have ruined my weekend in the FP!

Glad to hear the watch is ok! Definitely one of the things I love about this 43 (at least if you go for the ceramic bezel). The crown guards being a seperate replicable piece is great.

Good to hear, I have the RG 44 and mine has barely a mark on it in 8 years now, really impressive.

Have you got any more pics of it on the leather strap? Thinking of custom making one for mine, maybe with RG stitching to really juice it up.

Today is really the first time I wore it on the leather. I didn’t really like it when I first put it on but it has grown on me a lot. And thanks to the quick release it’s easy to change up. It’s a different vibe for sure, I usually wear it on red rubber

Thank you, Jim! My stainless steel black dial is here to stay. I can’t envision my hobby/collection without it. It’s crispy. Never worn much, sold out of Dubai.

I’ve owned many stainless examples in both dials and rose gold. Another favorite was the olive dial RG which had rose gold applied AP logo and RG surrounds on the sub dials plus the coveted black date disc of later references. It was the final reference. Gone to a good home.

That looks gorgeous. I think as it is gold the leather works fine on it, even better than rubber. I have mine usually on the red GP strap, not on the rubber, think that goes better with SS models.
