Is that a boutique version of the Richard Lange? Fantastic!

So where are all the Lange wearers recently? Is summer not the time to wear a piece from this watchmaker but a Patek Philippe Nautilus instead?

I've come from a DJ14 as well and also have a 6.75" wrist. The '41' also wore a tad large for me. I ended up with an 1815 up/down which I understand is 39mm, however the lugs are relatively short and angle downwards, and overall I find the Lange wears incredibly well. I'd say perhaps the 1815 in 38.5mm might be the perfect size for you. Good luck!

This is a definite grail chronograph in my eyes! ALS produces some of the best in high horology class and great value for money. Wear in the best of health!

It's been a week on the wrist now. It is nowhere near as complicated as most other watches in this thread. In fact, it's about the most simple and elegant watch I can imagine. But I love it all the same. It's a deceptively beautiful watch. The Saxonia Thin 37mm on my 6.5" wrist.

Anyone seen the Saxonia Thin 205.086 with the copper blue dial out in the wild or AD's yet?

Thanks! I love it so far. It's been almost 2 weeks now. I'll do a write up in a few months time. It's absolutely acting as a "gateway" watch for me. I'm already looking at others for the future.

I guess I should consider myself fortunate since the Zeitwerk doesn't fit on my wrist as well as the other Lange models...

I've seen it in person at the A. Lange & Sohne Boutique down at South Coast Plaza in LA. It's an interesting watch. I prefer the more classic Saxonia Thin models with the silver dial, but it's because I'm a relatively conservative person. The blue copper itself looks really nice with different lighting since the dial sparkles due to the copper fragments. It's hard to describe, I think some people will love it, some people will prefer the other models more.

Ok, I can finally play here...

At the AD, with the brown strap...

And officially mine with the black strap...

Now I'm torn which strap I should use most of the time. I don't wear a suit often, but when I do, it's with black shoes/belt. When casual or biz-casual, I switch between brown or black leathers. Until I can swap out the straps myself, am I safer sticking with the black or brown straps?

Also, any suggestions on how to SAFELY change out the straps, and what tool I should get?

I agree with this. Someone should pull the trigger and get that watch, too. I wish I could right now.

On that topic...who says you can only wear a Lange with formal attire?

I think it looks quite sporty with the gloves on a spirited canyon drive. Absolutlely love the watch, whether you're wearing a dress shirt at work, t-shirt on a casual Friday, or just driving around on twisty roads without a care in the world.

Nice, you are making that work.

I really want to pick up a simple dress watch like a Saxonia but even my fave restaurant has dropped its tie and jacket dress code.

I've always enjoyed your pictures on this thread. It seems you still love your watch and wear it daily. I hope that's the case! Definitely a grail watch for me.

Thanks! I absolutely love it. No picture online does this watch justice in natural light and daily settings. It's so simple and elegant. It hurts so bad knowing I dented the edge of one of the lugs last night, but I'm still wearing it daily. I want to wear it for a year to see what it's like. It's clear to me that an Omega or Rolex sport watch is a tough as nails watch, however, not exactly as elegant as an A. Lange & Sohne or Vacheron Constantin. I'm hoping A. Lange & Sohne can reshape or somehow fix it when I send it in for maintenance. It would make me sleep better at night.

Also, I think you can definitely make a simple dress watch work in even casual settings, including your favorite restaurant. I think this is mainly because no one but the wearer cares about watches so you can make anything work unless it's totally ostentatious.

Absolute beauty. This watch epitomizes purity and elegance. 37 is the perfect size and proportion, just the right amount of balance in dial real estate.

That is a beautiful shot of both the 1815 Up/Down and your GT86 (I think). Your pictures have made me reconsider the 1815 Up/Down though I was planning on hunting down a discontinued Langematik.

Thank you. It is indeed a beautiful watch. I’m loving it even after being clumsy with it as a daily wearer.

I just realized that you and Mjaber are some of the very few people I've seen online that had this watch before I bought mine. Thank you for posting pictures. Your older pictures actually helped me decide on this watch as my first A. Lange & Sohne, especially since my wrists are small and I was afraid it wouldn't fit well.

Needless to say, I love it. Here's a shot of it on my wrist moments before I took it off and knocked it off the table face-first onto the concrete ground.

The edge of the top left lug is totally dented, scratched, and scraped. Some part parts of the bezel are scratched, too, but nothing major. However, A. Lange & Sohne said they can restore it when the time comes for me to send it in. And there's another thread I started recently about restoring gold watch cases. After hearing from A. Lange & Sohne as well as other people in this community, I think it'll be fine. In fact, it's only inspired me to wear this watch on a daily basis now.

I might be tempted by the RG version. Need to see actual.

For some reason, I always seems to sit on the fence when come fo Lange.
