D, I was going to guess that there were different shoes for horses who were ridden on paved surfaces, but I wouldn't know what. I'd think the kind ranch horses wear would be slippery on asphalt... just a guess.

Guess what I did this evening... tie-dyed a bedsheet and some shirts for the girls. I had thought it would be kind of a group effort, but the kids got tired of it after a while... however, I'm sort of addicted to it! I want to tie-dye everything in sight.

I got to thinking about that when I saw some police horses the other day.

I know a guy around here who sells tubes over the internet to people from all over. Believe it or not he is very busy. Enough so that he has his own shop to handle the work load.

Art, my husband probably knows that tube guy!

Tie dyed underwear - yes, the oldest already thought of that. In fact, if hubby had any white undies, his would have been tie dyed, too.

Note to self.... a guy who loves beige, yet is willing to don tie dyed undergarments... what does this mean?

Probably so. I doubt there are many of them around. But they probably think we're nuts for our watch habit.

They are, there is some rubbery kind of stuff they can coat them with for special circumstances, like a rodeo parade or something when they have to walk on pavement for a bit.

well that sounds fun! all except for the cat part. :-)

Mikki, that watch looks incredible! I love the crown and the dial has been re-lumed in a very nice way! I must admit I usually avoid such duals as the job is usually very bad but whoever did it on yours has my admiration for he is excellent!

Congratulations my friend.

I didn't even know it HAD lume when I bought it, Carl. Imagine my surprise, when I was shooting those photos, and turned the lights off. That was a "whoa" moment :-) I knew that the dial had been refinished, I just really had no idea that the lume was there and SO very nice.

Mind if I pick your brain at some point re: finding a movement, dial and hands for a really nice case? I think the dial has to be about 20-21mm. Wheee!

YAY! I have a black one, but I think she wouldn't come out nearly as pretty :-) And yes, I think it's a cushion case. Like a cushion cut precious stone that hubby should buy me. I think I'll choose......uh.......green tourmaline
