I posted in another thread about a new ring I bought. It is currently being resized. Lisa mentioned that I should post some photos of my other jewelry here. Thanks for the invite. I've always had an interest in gems as well as watches.

This is an 18k ring. The stone is a piece of quartz found in CA with a piece of 24k gold imbedded.

This piece of turquoise was originally in bolo tie. I had it made into a bracelet for The Rodentwoman.

This is a cheap tiger eye I bought on the bay.

My EightStar diamond. Hard to photograph the beauty of a diamond.

But the cut is, well, EightStar perfect.

Here's an ad from 1954

A rare ring-tailed squirrel.

I like that squirrel. Never seen a ring-tailed one in the wild. I understand they are much, much calmer than the traditional North American squirrel. In fact, they are known to remain motionless for hours on end.

I have an owl kind of like that. Never given it much thought before, but I wonder if its prey would be ring-tailed squirrel?

As for your rings, they are very nice. I think my favorite is the quartz with the vein of gold in it! I've never heard of an eight point diamond. Is it an old style cut? A few pages back we all shared some pics of our jewelry and it's really been interesting to learn a little about it.

Thanks for posting the pics! Hope to see your star sapphire when it arrives.

I understand, you know that. I just had to send some dorm money. I need to marry her off. Poor guy.

I dunno, Wes. I'll probably put it up on Ebay and start it at 99 cents, just for fun. I would have no idea what to ask for it here, so I'll try the 'bay and let the buyers set the price.

That explains it!

About time to open an after-dinner beer meself.

You should drink and post more often, Wes. There are all kinds of things laying around the house to sell you. I could use the money.

I'll track it down, bump up the price and maybe even buy it.

Do you ship internationally?

Maybe let the girls have it for a bit. Then, by HS graduation they can be asking for a Rolex.

That's a very lovely watch Lisa! Glad to know you decided to buy it, it seems to fit you very well.

Thanks, Carl. But really, I only bought it to put on Ebay. I just couldn't pass up a Tissot for $18. Though I will have to spring for a new battery. Geez, I haven't thought about watches needing batteries for many years.

Thx for the comments! I bought the quartz ring in May 2002 and the quartz came from the 16 to 1 mine in CA which had a very pure vein of gold. It's not 24 ct since that doesn't occur naturally but it's quite close.

http://www.origsix.com/

I found some more stuff.

Native American made rings, for the trade no doubt...

And these, the larger one is old pawn, and not from Rick Harrison...

Zuni inlaid cuff bracelet...

Matching belt buckle...

Well, quartz movements are more accurate than mechanical, right? With a mechanical movement, you might be off a minute or two - give or take.
