Steve, Nicolas and William thanks for the good wishes. My son’s gonna love that beast! I’ll post more images from time to time.

Out of curiosity do you all race your vehicles? Like at a track or just have fun around town hoping not to get tickets? Club meets at a designated time place monthly? Just wondering if there’s more to it than taking road trips and seeing how fast you can get them going on open stretches (165 so far in my wife’s macan s btw)!

Most of my shenanigans have been on the streets, but there is a guy here locally that rents out a drag strip and just charges friends a small flat fee to come run, so gone to that a couple times. My Trackhawk is gone now, so until I get another fast car I’ll just be a spectator, but the move to my new Ram truck did free up some money for my next incoming, so it’s a balance.

Go to the track and run with a local car club like PCA or driving school, etc. You won’t be able to replicate the learning experience anywhere else and things you do learn will carry over into your everyday driving.
Not sure how old your son is, but 100x for him.

Oh and road racing is the most fun you can have with your clothes on.

It's way more fun to drive a fast car on a track where you have a beautiful road, no police to worry about, and limited cars around you. Of course it's a lot safer and smarter too. Cars these days are so capable -- I had an M3 that had 330 hp -- yours must be way more than that. It just makes sense to take it to a track if you want to explore what you think are its limits.

It is very cool, To me. Are you selling a car right now? Prince of Persia seems to look familiar. Like I seen an E46 for sale somewhere recent with that plate in a window..

Beautiful M5, it's in fantastic condition.

No, not me! Although I do have a current gen M4.

Oh Nice. The new M4/3 even the M2 are so nice. But these old cars are raw and in your face. Def less computers. They dont go as fast but they feel as fast.

You're right about that. My M is more luxury GT than raw sports car.

I test drove a new M5 and it was like driving a speeding yacht. Certainly Agile and fast. But the effort to drive it was minimal. Almost like, Even my wife would be able to do this. The older M5 seems to want to be at 6000 RMP all the time. And once its there. It is amazing. There is a place for the newer cars for sure. They are so refined and classy. I love them all. I just kind of really like the old ones as well.

Small teaser.

After a very long search I finally managed to get a set of vintage 18" BBS RCs for the M Coupe.

Was inspired by our community that appreciates an older car.

I’ve always wanted one. Finally found the right spec.

2011. 3,000 miles. Ceramic brakes. Mint (will be once again after some mint damage during transport).

Congrats Seth! Looks great, definitely a rare bird. Always wondered what it was like getting in and out with the gullwing doors and wide sills, the original 300sl was an utter nightmare.

So happy for you my man! What a perfect spec!!! Irridium silver. The silver bullet. Seth, I would love to know your impression of this one compared to the AMG GTS that you had for a little while.

Tell you the truth, it’s shockingly easy.

I was nervous about space in the garage and height etc. but it’s engineered incredibly well. No different from any of my sports cars. Easier than most exotics.

In fact, it’s tighter in terms of space.

And dude, this was somewhat inspired by you. And I couldn’t be happier. This car suits me so very well. It’s perfect for me.

Brother, I owe you a call. Crazy ass week. So much happening. But can’t wait to catch up.

And thanks for your help with this. Can’t say enough how much you helped me find the right car.

It’s perfect for me. So much fun. And so cool.
