Actually, I was wrong! I looked at some pics on the 'net, and it does look like your little guy is a red-bellied woodpecker. The downy looks like this:

And he is the smaller version of the Hairy Woodpecker... whose name makes me giggle. Here's Hairy:

She will love it Carl. But beware. If you get her hooked on watches...And you get married... If so, you can always blame Lisa.

When in doubt, blame Lisa...got it!

Thank you Art but I don't think this will get her hooked on watches, I cannot even confirm she'll even wear it but it is well worth a try since the watch looks great!

I've been a vegetarian for the whole week Art, I don't think today is going to be a problem...

Thank you for the tip though, I may have to warn my girlfriend about that...

I like squirrels too. We do not have chipmunks in Fla. Nor do we have groundhogs.

Well here...they dig in the flower beds and bury food and eat bulbs, scatter the mulch out of the beds and chew through wires and make messes everywhere.....so I do not care for them very much. As a matter of fact I'll tell you what I have just for the 'varmits'.....on second thought I better not!!! LOL!!!

Take it easy.....Leo

I had a pet chipmunk and a pet squirrel. But groundhogs, they don't like me much. I've killed quite a few of them. The farmers and some areas in West Virginia would pay $5 each for them, dead. I feel kind of bad about that now. But I was young and didn't know any better. We had too many muskrats too. People paid well for their pelts believe it or not. Now, if I see a lizard on a cool winter morning I warm it up in my hands and put him out in the sun. I even pour water on drying up worms. Hopefully I've been forgiven.

Rodentman, if you like squirrels, I just saw some in NYC at Union Square that were huge, like a small rabbit. I have some pics but the size of them doesn't show. They were lighter colored too. I have seen some black one's around here but only a few times.
